Penny Plus Auction (WCGNM)

Tomorrow is the Penny Plus Auction at JPCC. This year they've added a 🪎 treasure chest 🗝️ with prizes from local small businesses. 💪 Here's a little preview of what you could win from and RLC 😉

This is a fundraising event (and a fun one!) that will benefit the Greater New Milford community. Hopefully you can attend!

Tomorrow (Sat. 4/11) is our Penny Plus Auction (WCGNM) at JPCC, but what IS a penny auction? 💁‍♀️Despite the name, most Penny Auctions work more like a raffle:

😍 Multiple items are displayed around the room (250+ in the JPCC auditorium!)
🪙 You don’t actually use pennies (which is good since they’re in short supply these days)
🎟️ Instead, you’ll buy sheets of tickets (3 sheets for $5)
🎫 Each ticket is equal to a few cents, rather than just one cent (that's why we include the "Plus" in the name of our event; 3 sheets for $5 includes 25 tickets and one door prize ticket *per sheet*)
🔢 Each ‘auction’ item is numbered to match a corresponding container (clear cups will be next to each item; match the numbers and drop your ticket(s) for a chance to win)
🏅 At the end of the auction a winning ticket will be drawn from each container (doors open , bidding ends @12:30PM; you must be present to win)

The name may be a bit of a misnomer, but the fun you’ll have and the funds you’ll help raise are right on the money. 😉

We'll also have 🧺 raffle baskets, a treasure chest 🗝️ of local prizes with multiple chances to win, and food options 🌭 (hot dogs, chips, cookies, and drinks).

WCGNM is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. All proceeds are donated back into the Greater New Milford community.

WCGNM Members had a fun time picking out treats, arranging, and delivering spring care packages to our local health and rehabilitation center staff members this weekend. 🌷

This has become a new favorite activity for many of our members since the club started making spring and winter care packages last year. 🧺 We are grateful for the dedicated health care providers and support staff who provide 24/7 care to the residents.
