ATTENTION NEW MILFORD RESIDENTS

Day after day 🚒Water Witch Fire🚒 Department provides unwavering response to community emergencies. That's not all! Water Witch Fire heads up many community events such as a visit from Santa, the parade of lights on the green at Christmas time, AMAZING chicken BBQs, and the list goes on! We would like to come together with the community to provide a 🍕pizza🍕 party for them at their monthly meeting as a token of our sincere appreciation. Join us in funding this small but thoughtful gesture, as small as it may be, to thank the officers, members, and ladies auxiliary, for their amazing service to our community. Any donation is welcome and can be made on our home page at HelpingHandsForHeros.com. All donations are 100% tax deductible and 100% of the proceeds will be used to thank our amazing Fire volunteers. 🙏

I'm sure many of you have read about veterans throughout the country that have been exposed to poor water quality. Water contamination on military bases is well known, but we overlook the fact that many veterans in the US suffer from poor water quality in their own private homes. Today, I met with a local Vietnam veteran who has PFAS above the safe drinking water standards right here in New Milford. Him and his family have unknowingly been drinking, bathing, preparing food, and washing laundry and dishes in this water. I understand this PFAS issue will take some time in order to adequately filter everyone, but I feel that as a community we can come together immediately to help this Veteran, who gave his time for our freedom, the funds to provide filtration for his family.

I'm asking all of you to consider making a donation to provide this Veteran with a proper water filtration system for him and his family. I will personally make the first $500 donation of what will be a $2500.00 install.

Your donation will be 100% used for the installation of the filtration and is 100% tax deductible.

Donations can be made at www.helpinghandsforheros.com

Once the $2500.00 threshold is met we will help facilitate the scheduling of the proper filtration system.

Thank you New Milford in advance for your continued overwhelming generosity. This is what make us .

Operation 🇺🇸"VETERAN HEAT"🇺🇸 with our main man "PhillyBoy" is in full swing. Today Phil dropped a complimentary load of wood to his Veteran friend Army E9 Master Sargeant retired Mr. Gordy.
We are so 🌟proud🌟 of Phil's hard work and commitment to supporting our Veterans. We are equally thankful to Mr. Gordy for his service and sacrifice.

If you or someone you know is a Veteran and could use alittle warmth this winter please feel free to reach out.

🇺🇲LEADERSHIP EXCELLENCE! 🇺🇲
The motto of the Army ROTC.

New Milford, please meet 🌟Maddie Wuttke🌟 and help us congratulate her on recent accomplishments and thank her for serving our great Country❗

Madison, her mom, dad and 2 sisters are New Milford residents. Maddie is never afraid of hard work. She worked 4 jobs in high school, was an honor roll student and a captain of her swim team. Currently she is in the honors program at University of Rhode Island majoring in Global Business and French and minoring in military science. She is enlisted in the Rhode Island National Guard and just graduated from basic training at Ft Jackson, SC last week on July 29th. She is enrolled in a simultaneous membership program where she is not only in guard but is also in URI's Army ROTC program. She currently trains between Camp Fogarty and Camp Edwards. She has already won a challenger coin at her first FTX weekend last fall, was team leader of her squad this past spring and named both Cadet of the Spring Semester and Cadet of the Year in May at her end of year awards ceremony. While away at basic she was made platoon guide for the Anvil and led 45 SIT’s on a 3 day simulated deployment exercise where they overcame the elements of Tropical Storm Elsa. She was also asked to join a super squad team for The Forge a 96 hour field training exercise. She and 6 others from her company competed with one nominated drill sergeant against the other companies. The Forge is a test of ultimate endurance including chemical attacks, mass casualty scenarios, night infiltration, patrols, live fire, 45 miles of marching and a ten mile ruck to complete it. Upon her return to her Rhode Island unit she will be working with an aviation intelligence unit but she plans to go airborne division.

Private Maddie Wuttke you are an AMAZING young lady and put the word STRONG💪 in .

THANK YOU for your hard work and dedication serving our Country, and congratulations on ALL your recent accomplishments.

🌟OUR SENIORS NEED OUR HELP🌟

There are alot of Seniors in our community that simply can't afford in home care. Some of these folks are elderly 🇺🇲🇺🇲Veterans.🇺🇲🇺🇲

They need our help❗

We are raising money to support this cause. The money will be used directly to provide in home care for our seniors that can't otherwise afford it.

We have spoken to some licensed care givers here in town. On average a week of in home care would cost around $400-$500.
If we all throw in $20.00 that would add up fast.

We recently have come to know several members of this community that need this type of service immediately.

We need your support to make this possible. You can make a donation at www.helpinghandsforheros.com or you can simply stop by.

Blessings and thank you for your support!
