District Governor Patti is out and about and will be visiting the Mechanicsburg Lions Club on Tuesday night. She will be talking about all the great things this club is doing in and around the community. She will also be talking about her motto "Service - A Guiding Light". Lions' meetings are open to the public, and all are invited.

It was a gorgeous day Saturday, August 22, 2026, to be in a parade. The New Freedom Area LEO Club sponsored by the New Freedom Lions Club participated in the Southern York County Recreation End of Summer Parade! LEOs handed out foam airplanes, temporary tattoos, and bracelets! LEOs are ages 12 to 18 and serve the community alongside a Lions club and gain Leadership, Experience, and Opportunity in their community while having FUN!

Hundreds of lives have been lost, and thousands remain missing following catastrophic flash floods and a suspected glacier collapse that devastated communities along the Nepal–China border.

In response, Lions Clubs International Foundation (LCIF) has awarded a US$200,000 Major Catastrophe Grant, empowering local Lions to provide urgent humanitarian relief and support the long-term recovery of affected communities.

Country music legend and philanthropist Dolly Parton was a Melvin Jones Fellow!

The Melvin Jones Fellowship is a recognition associated with Lions Clubs International Foundation and honors a commitment to humanitarian service.

Dolly Parton has spent decades making a difference in the lives of others. Through Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library, millions of books have been gifted to children, helping inspire a love of reading from an early age. 📚❤️

Her dedication to serving others is a wonderful reminder that kindness, generosity, and service can create an impact that reaches far beyond our own communities.

District Governor Patti will enjoy some time with the Brogue Community Lions Club as she stops in on Thursday evening to enjoy a drink or two while she talks about her motto “Service – A Guiding Light” and the great things the Brogue Lions Club is doing in their community. Meetings are open to the public and all are welcome to stop and spend some time in The Brogue.

The New Freedom Lions Club would like to thank the community members who supported our blood drive on Wednesday, August, 12, 2026. 68 people attempted to donate, and we collected 61 units of blood, saving 183 lives!
