Family Camp at Maranatha is always a blast, and this year was no different.
Last week's group was on the smaller side, but we are so thankful for each family who came, and the opportunities that brought for deeper connection--leading into the blessing of a father coming to Christ! 🎊❤️
Each day was filled with plenty of time to enjoy God's creation and all the fun activities around camp (swimming, loving on baby goats and chickens), and sessions brought challenges and encouragement from God's Word and joyful singing as guests and staff lifted their voices in praise to Him. 🏖️🎜
Throughout each session, Pastor John Libby dug into the topic of fear, teaching us that that the root of all fear is ultimately unbelief--and how each one can only be counteracted by a healthy fear of God. Looking to 2nd Timothy he showed us how Christ has given us a spirit of power, love, and discipline; which leads not to fear, but to true wisdom, and finally freedom. ⛓️💥
Thank you to each of our volunteers, who were able to fellowship and complete many projects around campus, which served our guests and helped prepare us for Ignite Youth.🔥
The week was finished off with fireworks down at Alton Bay in celebration of our country's 250th! 🎆🇺🇸 (Thank you to a longtime ministry partner for their hospitality!)
It has been a great summer so far, and we are looking forward to see how God will work through each person's heart during youth camp, guest groups, and even the mundane work our volunteers do every day. ✝️🤲
