Good afternoon everyone.

It's been a busy day getting everything ready for tonight for customer appreciation night.

I do need to share a couple of stories with everyone. They put a smile on my face ☺️

Recently, I have been having people come up to me and ask if I am the "time machine" or "travels" lady. People have been explaining how much they are enjoying many of the people and places that have been featured. Others expressed being surprised about details of our community's history they were unaware occurred.

While I am the author of many of the posts I must give credit where credit is due. Much of the post information comes from donations that have been kept by the non-profit over the years. All I have been doing is photographing it and putting the pieces together. Hilda Parrish has been a wonderful resource in places where I have hit brick walls. Still others have been reader submissions. Some are from my own memories. Prior to I-71 being built my family would travel 42 to visit my grandparents. Many businesses were from my memories traveling through. Earlier memories were from my Dad when he was a young man. He discussed family memories when he reconnected with family lines that came here in the 1790s.

History often is fun. It can celebrate milestones. Some memories must be viewed through the lense of time.

I am sure our ancestors would approve of the posts as what they experienced first hand is helping the current generations. That is what this community is all about. Sharing and caring for each other.

Together, we are people helping people and working to make our community better one person at a time.

Good morning everyone. Last night was a wild and crazy last night at Good Times Charitable Gaming in New Castle. The wins were amazing. Can't wait to show everyone.

Soaking my toes and foot yesterday seemed to help some. At least they haven't swollen any further. Still no heat on the spots where the battery pack for our vacuum got me (so probably not broken - just badly bruised. My toes don't move due to nerve, tendon and ligament damage from removing and replacing the hardware in my ankle and shin so the wiggle test is useless. Bad thing is I don't have feeling in that area.) This has slowed me down but hasn't completely stopped me. Still been busy with the food boxes. This reminds me of the year I dressed up as Mrs. Claus and went around the nursing home with a couple of broken toes taped up and my braces on my legs so Mrs. Claus didn't have to use a cane. She just needed to hold onto Santa, a lot :)
