We’re a new Kiwanis club working to change the future for children in Henry County. Kiwanis exists to help children around the world. Some popular projects that

help kids include installing reading rooms in schools, packing backpacks with school supplies and programs that teach skills or provide safety lessons. The members of this new Kiwanis club will look at the needs of children in the community and decide the projects that will benefit local kids.

🧼🧴 🪥 200 HYGIENE KITS PACKED 🧼🧴🪥

At yesterdays Kiwanis club meeting members worked to pack hygiene kits for families and students to use throughout the upcoming school year. Often times we take for granted the basic necessities needed to keep our children happy, healthy and clean. Kits were made specifically for teen girls, teen boys and families. Kits include a wide range of items, such a tooth brush, shampoo, soap, laundry detergent, q-tips, deodorant and much more.

We lift up and thank our club Treasurer, Montaynna Sharp for facilitating and leading this service project year after year! 👏🏻

We are so grateful to our generous sponsors and donors of the 4th Annual Kicks for Kids Gala that helped us raise $19, 204.29!! What a great success! 🔵🔶 2026 SCHOLARSHIP RECIPIENTS 🔶🔵

The Kiwanis Club of Henry County is proud to award two scholarships to a deserving high school senior who exemplifies determination, ambition, and a commitment to a bright future. President Elect, Annelise Mack presented these awards at the Henry County High School Honors Night.

Isaiah Cervantes - $1,000
While still exploring whether a traditional college or trade school path is the right fit, this student has demonstrated the drive and motivation to pursue continued education and meaningful career opportunities. We are confident that his strong work ethic and dedication will lead him to success in whichever path he chooses.

Taylee Reading - $1,000
She plans to attend the University of Louisville to pursue a degree in psychology, with a passion for understanding and helping others. Her commitment to education, paired with her drive to make a meaningful impact, gives us every confidence that she will build a successful and inspiring future.

MAY CLUB MEETING

Monday night over 20 Kiwanis members came together to meet, donate and plan!

Members collected and donated many snack items to Mrs. Lynn Payton Wilson and the Eminence Baptist Church after school program. This program helps feed and provide additional support to hundreds of students each month. We are proud to help support this worthy program and join them in making a difference in the lives of children.

Rich Massey brought in a donation from the Kiwanis Club. This is one of many donations to the help center from the Kiwanis. They are a great partner helping us in our mission to fight food insecurity in Henry County.
