There are very few organizations devoted to the marketing of what we commonly refer to as the "not enough" Saddlebred as a multi-discipline riding horse. Most of the other breeds that have expanded to their share of the sport horse and recreational markets have registries that coordinate advertising and promotion. Aggressive marketing is essential. Much of the news about ex-showhorses includes wor

ds like rescue, slaughter, donate, and adopt. Too few people in other breeds and disciplines hear about their heart, athleticism, and versatility or see them as viable options.

In November, we rode “hip 8” through New Holland, recognized he had much more to do with his life, and bought him.

Now, Jasper is with his new home showing off his new skills!

It’s Saddlebred Saturday and we got DNA back on our friend, Cruiser who is younger than we thought (look in the comments for his registered name!) 16 years old, big, pretty and his owner has been waiting a long time for our help placing him. He is green to ride as he has mostly been driven. Not for a beginner, but could do a lot with the right situation. Kind on the ground to handle. Asking $1,500 but we can bring serious offers. No tirekickers. We have more video and info for serious people, but know your tolerance for risk. Please share and let’s help Cruiser find his spot!

Mountjoy’s First Dance is at her new home with her very own little kid. She is our most recent direct placement horses after her Amish family reached out to us to help sell her as an alternative to taking her to a sale. We are so happy for “Tessa”, her new family, and her old one who knew she deserved an opportunity to be repurposed.

If you’re in the mood for a little project, these 2 are ready for you!

First up we have Jingles (star)…he is a sensitive guy who will need an experienced handler. He is stocky and beautiful and could do a lot of things with the right person. At this time, we will only consider an experienced home for him.

Next is his buddy, Merida (star, with stripe). She is the sweetest thing! Loves people and would love to meet you! Anddd she’s a Noble Braveheart baby.

They are both young, registered, and need to be started under saddle. If you’re looking for a project this Fall, reach out to us!

Arrowhead’s Tomcat…one thing about this guy…he loves men! He is still gaining weight and recovering from his time driving long miles on the road, but we think he has great potential to be someone’s pleasure horse.
