The American Saddlebred Legacy Foundation Promote the Saddlebred ~ Prevent the need for rescue ~ Preserve a legacy of responsibility In this age word of mouth is not enough.

There are very few organizations devoted to the marketing of what we commonly refer to as the "not enough" Saddlebred as a multi-discipline riding horse. Most of the other breeds that have expanded to their share of the sport horse and recreational markets have registries that coordinate advertising and promotion. Aggressive marketing is essential. Much of the news about ex-showhorses includes words like rescue, slaughter, donate, and adopt. Too few people in other breeds and disciplines hear about their heart, athleticism, and versatility or see them as viable options.

Where are they at Wednesday?

In November 2024, Addie was run through the Robertson sale and sent quickly to New Holland where we purchased her for $400. Just a baby, with her whole life ahead of her.

Lacey Ainsley took a chance on her and look at them now! She just completed a ride with the Portsmouth Mounted Patrol for their 50th anniversary.

There is so much our Saddlebreds can do and we are so thankful for our adopters who are letting them shine!

Happy Friday! Check out our current available horses! They each now have their own album on our page and we have more photos and video for serious inquiries. If you can’t adopt, please share. Some of these guys have been with us a long time and deserve to find their own humans.
