Last week at River Valley Elementary School, Rotarians Mr. Steve, Mr. Larry, and Ms. Laura, together with PE teacher Mr. Hoekstra and former PE teacher Ms. Baumgartner, helped our young students learn about the benefits of growing plants from seeds. Each K-6 student planted a seed (🍅 or 🌶), will watch the plants sprout and grow at school (🌱), then take their plants home next month (🪴). This favorite springtime collaboration has been going on for over a decade!

GREAT news from Feeding America West Michigan's (FAWM) 2025 Impact Report. Harbor Country Mobile Food Pantry at Harbert Community Church location distributed 98,221 LBS of food in 2025!!!
AND from Jan 2025 - Jan 2026, we served 2,590 families or 5,915 individuals at the FAWM Mobile Food Pantry at Harbert Community Church.

When the world can feel heavy with conflict and uncertainty, moments of community and kindness matter even more. 🌎

Each month, members of the The Rotary Club of Harbor Country volunteer at the
Water’s Edge Church in New Buffalo helping prepare and serve The Gathering dinner, a weekly community meal open to anyone. 🍽️🤝

We are grateful to live in a place where neighbors continue to show up for one another.

Come out to support our students!

Join us in Downtown Three Oaks on March 23, 2026 at 1:00 pm in the afternoon for our River Valley Elementary Kindness Walk.
Our students will walk in a parade through town and share kindness along the way. They have been learning about kindness and working on a variety of Kindness Projects. This event is a wonderful opportunity to celebrate positivity and bring our school and town together.
We look forward to seeing the community join us in supporting this special walk for kindness.

Giving takes place regularly with The Rotary Club of Harbor Country. Partnering with The Pokagon Fund, the Lions Club in New Buffalo, and Hardings Friendly Market in Three Oaks, we provided 28 families with a shopping cart filled with food and paper goods for Thanksgiving. On Giving Tuesday and every day, our club works to help our neighbors and make our community a better place to live.

We're happy to be partnering with the New Buffalo Yacht Club and The Pokagon Fund to raise money to fight hunger.

Partnering with the Pokagon Fund, The Harbor Country Rotary Club and The New Buffalo Yacht Club are raising money to help individuals facing food insecurity in our community.

Twice a month, the Feeding America Mobile Food Pantry serves local families and individuals. This effort is a partnership between Feeding America West Michigan, the Harbor Country Rotary Foundation, Harbert Community Church, and Episcopal Church of the Mediator.

While the Pokagon Fund currently funds the purchase and inclusion of meat, it only covers one distribution per month. To help expand this vital service, the Yacht Club, in coordination with the Rotary Club, has launched a fundraising campaign to supplement the budget.

Your donations will help local families and children in dire need, especially now as food assistance programs continue to face cuts.

The need is greater than ever... thank you for donating.
