New Buffalo Shoreline Alliance To preserve and to protect the beaches and the shoreline of Lake Michigan in Southwest Michigan. This problem is large and has been ignored for too long.

The New Buffalo Shoreline Alliance has been addressing the ongoing shoreline issues and the possible solutions to this continuing problem. Our group was started with the purpose of preserving and protecting the beaches and the shoreline of Lake Michigan in the southwest communities of New Buffalo, New Buffalo Township, Grand Beach and Michiana Shores. Our goal is to find a solution and a means of

funding it. Over the past two years we have explored the political, legal and private options for a solution to the continuing destruction of our beaches. This work has been funded by the members of the group in an amount exceeding $30,000. Our problem is large, ongoing and one that will leave the shoreline riddled with condemned properties.
