✈️ Leadership Santa Rosa Class 39 – Military Day 🇺🇸

This past week, Class 39 had the incredible opportunity to go behind the scenes at NAS Whiting Field, the best base in the Navy, and the busiest airfield in the world.

From an early morning start witnessing Colors as the flag was raised, to exclusive access across the installation, the day was nothing short of inspiring. Class members experienced the flight line, stepped inside simulators, toured control towers, explored training facilities, and learned firsthand about the vital role of NAS Whiting Field MWR programs supporting service members and their families.

What makes this experience even more remarkable is the scale of operations at Whiting Field, supporting nearly one million flight operations annually, even exceeding the flight activity of Hartsfield–Jackson Atlanta International Airport.

This day was a powerful reminder of the dedication, precision, and teamwork required to train the next generation of military aviators, and the critical role this installation plays not only in national defense, but right here in our community.

Thank you to the men and women of NAS Whiting Field for your service, your leadership, and for giving Class 39 an unforgettable experience.

🚀 Leadership Santa Rosa Class 39 | Business & Industry Day 🚀

Class 39 experienced an incredible day exploring the people, places, and partnerships driving Santa Rosa County’s rapid growth and economic success!

We kicked off the morning with breakfast sponsored by Melissa Simpson, commercial real estate broker and owner of Sweet Greek Cafe, who shared her journey as a local business owner and community leader.

We then heard from Shannon Ogletree, Santa Rosa County Economic Development Director, who delivered an eye-opening presentation on the explosive growth happening across our region, and what it means for the future.

Our day continued with impactful site visits, including:
✈️ Leonardo Helicopters – showcasing global innovation and significant economic impact right here in Santa Rosa County
🏖️ Splash RV Resort – ranked among the Top 3 RV resorts in the nation, redefining tourism and hospitality
🚛 Buffalo Rock – touring their newly constructed distribution facility and learning how they support both our local economy and the broader region

We wrapped up the day back in Downtown Milton at Sweet Greek Cafe, where Stephen Prestesater, Economic Development Director for the City of Milton, shared insights on Milton’s exciting momentum and how our community sits at the precipice of growth and redevelopment.

The evening concluded with great conversation and connection at Milton’s first wine bar, celebrating a full day of learning and leadership.
