We operate an INCLUSIVE Child Care Facility in Navarre (License C01SR0107) for children ages 1 to 14.

501c3 charity that seeks to increase the quality of life for individuals of all abilities and their families through respite, community engagement, and equitable access to fun and meaningful activities. The mission of Gulf Coast ABLE is to increase the overall quality of life for individuals of all abilities and their families through respite, community engagement, and equitable access to fun and meaningful activities. ABLE represents the core foundations of our service: Autonomy, Belonging, Love, and Experience which guide our work to meet each individual where they are in their walk of life. The mission of Gulf Coast ABLE Academy is to become a beacon in the community where families of children with different abilities come to be heard, understood, and accepted for their unique needs. With the guidance of a trained and loving team and through multi-sensory learning, play, and access to meaningful activities, ABLE kids learn at the pace that is right for them to accomplish everyday victories, no matter how big or small. We offer part day and full day private tutoring through Step-Up using the Family Empowerment Scholarship for Students with Unique Abilities (FES-UA). We utilize Learning Without Tears and Conscious Discipline to guide our classes for Pre-K and Kindergarten grade levels.

The ABLE Academy family couldn't be more proud of our dear friend, Lucky, for earning this week's Angel In Our Midst spotlight. Lucky visits us often as part of The Arc Gateway South Santa Rosa program and loves visiting with the staff and the children. He can be seen playing with the kids, engaging in the activities, and telling the staff about his latest adventures.

Lucky has endured much heartache over the past two years, but continues to be a positive light.

Due to a generous friend, we were able to send a very deserving family for a fun day Gulf Breeze Zoo fully equipped with a train ride and food for the animals. 🚂🦒🐐

To Our Families and Community,

We want to sincerely apologize to anyone who has reached out by phone, email, or social media and has not received a timely response. We understand how important it is to get answers when seeking care and services, and we know that our communication has not always met the standard we strive for.

As a growing organization, we have been operating without a dedicated administrative assistant, making it challenging to keep up with the volume of inquiries while continuing to provide quality services to the families we currently support.

We are excited to share that beginning June 22nd, we will have a dedicated Administrative Assistant as part of our team. One of the primary responsibilities of this position will be responding to inquiries, returning calls and emails, and helping families navigate available services and supports.

We are committed to improving our responsiveness and ensuring that families feel heard, valued, and supported from their very first interaction with us.

Thank you for your patience, grace, and continued support as we grow. We look forward to serving our community even better in the weeks and months ahead. We wish you well.

This summer will look a little different for us at ABLE. 💙

While we won’t have the space or capacity to offer summer camp in the same way we have since 2022, we’re excited to introduce something new to help bridge the gap…

✨ ABLE Adventures at Home ✨

This pilot program is designed for families of children ages 6+ with special needs who are looking for summer support. Our goal is to connect families with caring providers who are interested in working one-on-one in a home setting this summer.

✔️ Families can find personalized, flexible care
✔️ Providers can earn extra income while making a meaningful impact

If you’re interested in becoming a provider or if your family is seeking support, we’d love to hear from you! Availability will depend on the number of providers we’re able to match.
