We’re excited to share a major milestone for pharmacy practice in Tennessee!

TPA has officially launched the Tennessee Society of Ambulatory Care Pharmacists (TSACP)—a new professional community dedicated to advancing ambulatory care across the state.

This achievement reflects years of vision, advocacy, and dedication from ambulatory care pharmacists who recognized the need for a stronger, unified voice. Following Board approval in February 2026, TSACP is now moving forward with inaugural leadership appointed by TPA President Katy Wright. Learn more at: https://bit.ly/4oh9oin

Don’t miss this opportunity to hear from Lora Underwood, PharmD, BCPS, Director of Pharmacy Operations at TennCare, as she shares insights on pharmacy leadership, Medicaid innovation, and statewide pharmacy initiatives.

Dr. Underwood provides operational and clinical leadership across formulary management, utilization management, reimbursement oversight, and major pharmacy programs at TennCare. She also helped lead the development and implementation of the nation’s first Medicaid-sponsored diaper program.

With experience spanning managed care, PBM operations, and pharmacy policy, Dr. Underwood brings a unique perspective on the evolving role of pharmacists in healthcare. Her work has supported key strategic efforts, including the TennCare Drug Utilization Review Board and Pharmacy Advisory Committee.
