Busy-Bees In The Basement:

A nice balance of education and practice with Glenn teaching wire-wrapping for stones and crystals, while Bliss helps guide a member along the pottery path!

Tonight, our members come together again for another great MakeIt Members Night @ 7PM in the cleanspace area, alongside FURST Tuesday (7PM in our Textiles Dept) , and we have a Water Jet Training Class in the new metal fab area at 6:30PM

Resident, Resource Manager, Maker, and educational extraordinaire Glenn teaches a Dye Sublimation Print workshop, showcasing the process from start to finish!

What IS Dye Sublimation printing?

It's a digital printing process that uses heat and pressure to turn solid dye into a gas, which then permanently infuses into synthetic materials like polyester without becoming a liquid.

This is just one of the many workshops MakeIt Labs has to offer it's members.

Are you ready?!

Next month MakeIt Labs returns with ‘Aluminati’ to race towards the finish line alongside other makers in one of the most unique events on the East Coast! Lowell Kinetic Sculpture Race (Lowell Kinetic Sculpture Race) is a fun, and technically amazing showcase of creativity, teamwork, and durability as these kinetic creations must traverse through the streets, through a mud pit, and even out on the river!
