An interesting weather day. Good breezes through the first 6 races but during the break the pond became like a mirror, so much so that there was talk of ending things but after an extended break ( Alain's wife ordered Domino's pondside which arrived late) and before the start of race seven the breeze picked right back up, although added deadspots and swirlies became much more plentiful....

Looks like it is going to be a beautiful day tomorrow. The 7th Annual V36 Open Regatta will start at 12 pm we are not starting early.

EC-12 8/29/26

The weather forecast was mid 70's with a 5 mph breeze. Well, the temperature was right but the breeze waffled between strong and nonexistent favoring nonexistent. Glen Chalder, AMYA District 1 director, attended driving up from Connecticut for the day and garnering a strong 2nd place showing behind Cliff's win. The remaining places are recorded below ( note Jerry retired at the break).

With the weather looking crapy and getting worse all day long, I am postponing tomorrow's V36 Regatta. The new Regatta date will be 9-5-2026, our next V36 race day.

VM 8/8/26

One word for today...HOT! Well two words the other being...HUMID! Despite that it was a pretty good day for sailing. Breeze could have been stronger but it was adequate. Cliff showed everyone how it's done by sweeping all the firsts with several less than stellar starts ( at least two from back of the pack ). Alain retired at the break after a de-masting and deconstruction of his rig which required more than picnic table repairs unfortunately....
