Food insecurity on Nantucket is a complex challenge, but it's a solvable one.

No organization can solve it alone. That's why we exist: to foster collaboration, identify unmet needs, and work together so that every neighbor has reliable access to nutritious food.

We now have the data and the roadmap to make real, measurable progress. Our Nantucket Food Security Assessment is the foundation, and we're excited to share it with the community this Monday, June 15 at 2pm at the Atheneum.

After years of dreaming, planning, and community effort, the Community Food Hub is fully open for business. 🏠

This building brings together Nourish Nantucket, the Nantucket Food Pantry, and the Nantucket Land Bank under one roof, because we know that food security on this island is truly a team effort.

💓 VOLUNTEER APPRECIATION TIME 💓

We are grateful for our volunteers - this week we had Ashley Langer, Beth Terrana, and Kate O’Kelly to name just a few!! We could not do this without you (and you’re all simply the best!!)

Can you help us once a week or once a month? Want to join a group of like-minded people helping others? Need community service hours?

We need help delivering meals on Tuesdays and handing our summer student meals in July and August.

Join Nourish Nantucket for its community presentation series entitled “Thought for Food.” Each program will provide an update on Nourish Nantucket's work to create food security with its network of partners and a short presentation from a guest speaker in the food sector.

88% of Nantucket neighbors at risk of food insecurity are seniors or families with children.

Think about that. Our kids. Our seniors. The family members that make this island a community.

Older adults managing on fixed incomes. Families stretching every dollar between rent, childcare, and groceries. Nearly 1 in 2 Nantucket students qualifies for school meal assistance, and when summer comes, that lifeline disappears.

That's why Nourish Nantucket is working alongside nearly 20 partner programs to ensure every neighbor has reliable access to nutritious food. We’re starting the first summer student meals program on island this July.

Our new Food Security Assessment tells the full story. We can't wait to share it with you.
