This is Mr. John, a volunteer at AC. He came today wearing his Air Force ball cap, but when his shift is over, he will leave AC hatless.

You see, a gentleman and his wife came to the sale today and greeted Mr. John warmly; the husband , Gary, pointing excitedly at Mr. John’s Air Force hat.

Because of Gary’s illness, his wife had difficulty getting him to leave when their shopping was finished — he was enjoying the other customers and all the goodies for sale! We gently coaxed him to the exit where the hat was discreetly exchanged, Air Force Vet to Air Force Vet. More excitement from Gary. Tears from me.

Thank you Mr. John. This world needs more folks like you! ❤️

We are grateful for the donations we receive. We truly are.
But we do request one thing of those
that are donating in the after hours bin:

PLEASE tie your bag and/or tape your box CLOSED - and PLEASE no loose items.

Sadly folks are able to get inside our bin at night - they take items, stomp around on items that are not in bags, make a mess and Lord knows what else.

Because of this and for the safety of our volunteers and clients , ALL loose items that have been thrown in the donation bin must be discarded. and we certainly dont like to do this ! Please help us by having your donation in a closed box or bag if you are using the donation bin.
Thank you for helping us help others! ❤️
