In Galatians 5, the Apostle Paul teaches us that the flesh and the Spirit are in constant conflict with each other. You can’t produce the fruit of the Spirit while holding onto the works of the flesh. The fruit is a byproduct of living a life led by the spirit of God and not by our flesh.

Galatians 5:24 says, “Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires.”

We say we want the Fruit of the Spirit in our lives, but have we crucified our flesh with Christ?

Last night at youth, our students wrote down what they needed to surrender and pinned it to the cross.

Real freedom always starts with surrender at the cross.
