This week, we will introduce (and re-introduce) our Elder’s Angels board. We have a lot of new faces!

Mauriah is our executive director and founded Elder’s Angels in 2025. She worked as a CNA in long-term care for 6 years and first-hand saw the need. She is now a school based speech & language pathologist but works as-needed in a nursing home. Mauriah says what she loves about Elders Angels is the community of love. She would like to thank her Career Center instructor, Tracy Oxley, for inspiring her throughout her journey!

When not at work, or working on Elder’s Angels, she is spending time with her husband, family/friends.

What are residents asking for?

These wish lists belong to people who have spent their lives serving others — our teachers, veterans, police officers, moms, and so many more. ❤️ They were once active, valued members of our communities, giving their time, love, and service to others. Now, they deserve to feel remembered, appreciated, and cared for, too. This Christmas, let’s remind them that they are still valued and never forgotten. 🎄❤️

Here’s your reminder to not forget about nursing homes on Halloween! Many residents love seeing trick or treaters! If anyone would like to donate unopened bags of candy 🍭 please let us know! 🍫🍬

We are so fortunate to be surrounded by such a wonderful, generous community, and we're coming to you with a special request!

Our residents at Parker Health & Rehabilitation Center absolutely LOVE seeing all the little ghosts, goblins, and superheroes during trick-or-treating! 👻🦸‍♂️

We want to make sure they have plenty of goodies to hand out, and we're asking for donations of individually wrapped candy, small toys, or fun trinkets!

💕 Want to help? We'll gladly come pick up your donations, or you can drop them off at Parker anytime!

Thank you for always showing up for our residents. We truly have the BEST community and the BEST residents around! 💗

If you take your kids trick or treating, please, take them by Nursing Homes, they give out candy and the residents love to see the little kids in their costumes! PLEASE stop by and brighten their day. You have no idea how much this means to them

This morning filled my cup!

Elders Angels doesn’t only help at Christmas- but throughout the year. We received a request for a resident that came to a facility with nothing 😢 Mauriah dropped off clothes, body wash, and shampoo! 💜✨ This is all because of you guys! 💜🫶
