I want to say Thank You for the Stepping Stone/wall hanging. It's Beautiful! I will put it in my fairy garden that I am going to be finally putting together this summer. When it's done I'll take pictures.

The Worshipful Master of Whitney Lodge has asked the O.E.S. to assist in the annual lodge clean up. The clean up is this coming Thursday at 6 p.m. Anyone willing to help would be greatly appreciated. Remember that Whitney Lodge has not asked us for any money so far for the use of the building so this would be a great good will gesture.

We finally have the details of Sister Rachel Felton's services. We are going to have her OES funeral service on Monday at 6 p.m. at Meek's Mortuary downtown Muncie. Please be there a little early. If you are planning on going to the OES/ Whtiney Lodge picnic Sunday, we will be going over the service and lining up that day as well.

Greetings, Sisters & Brothers!

Danetta and I hope this message finds you all well! First of all, it is heavy hearts that we tell you that Sister Rachel Felton passed away last night. Rachel was very happy that the Star Chapter was up and running again. The family has requested a O.E.S. funeral service. Of course, at this point, we do not know any details of the arrangements. The funeral service is supposed to be done at the funeral itself. One of the few cons about having such a young line of officers is that almost all of us work. The funeral service consists of parts for the Worthy Matron, Worthy Patron, and the five star points. If any of us are able to attend, we will not be expected to have the parts memorized at this point and we will read them. In anticipation of the services being during the day, Danetta and I will be contacting several people today from other Chapters that may be able to assist us. As soon as we have the details of the arrangements we will send out another email and text messages. Even if you are not an officer, please plan on attending if you are able.

The picnic for honoring and thanking the members of Whitney Lodge is next Sunday at 3 p.m. Please contact Danetta this week to let her know what you will be bringing. We will be going to GFS in Anderson this week to pick up the things that the Chapter is providing. Keep in mind that Danetta cannot have her cell phone on at work, her normal schedule is Monday 8 - 5, Tuesday & Friday 8 - 7, and Wednesday & Thursday noon to 9.

Now to happier news. We will be having three petitions by initiation read at the July stated meeting. The petitions are coming from ladies that represent three generations. I'm am fairly certain that something like that doesn't happen very often. I know I am getting ahead of myself, but if they are voted in at the August meeting, we will be having their initiation in September. That gives us all plenty of time to get our parts learned. With elections coming up and two potential new members being voted in this month, we are hoping that the line will strengthen. Please contact Danetta or Associate Matron Laura Curtis if you are interested in taking an active role in the Chapter!

We have our hotel rooms booked and our fancy clothes ready for the Grand Chapter session on June 10th through the 12th. I have been appointed Grand Usher so I will apparently be very busy and tired those three days. Please keep in mind that our very own Sister Cheryl Pritt will be district 13's District Deputy. We wish all the upcoming officers and Cheryl a very fun & successful year! I would personally like to thank Jerry & Mary Hankins and Cheryl Pritt for attending my district send off party in Daleville on Friday. It was a casual and fun evening!

Please remember that everything going on this week is at the Daleville Masonic Lodge. Tuesday is our official practice at 7 p.m. and Thursday is the actual inspection. We will get all the arrangements made for Thursday done on Tuesday. We will email/ call anyone that is not there on Tuesday. Since we are so new to the OES we did not realize we could not move our meetings. We were just informed by Brother Bob Surber of the rule against that in the CR&R. So we are cancelling the meeting. Sorry about the confusion. Please contact anyone you know that does not have email that may be planning on coming. The practice schedule will not change, however.

Hello, Sister and Brothers!
Danetta and I are sitting here talking about OES. Due to how busy the lodge is and the holidays, which are crazy busy, we have decided to start have practices in January and February for our inspection. The practice schedule goes something like this: Monday January 4th and 11th at 6:30 and Monday Februrary 1st and 15th. We will make sure that the lodge is good with these dates. Our December meeting is on Monday the 21st (3rd Monday) due to the Feast of St. John for the lodge on the 28th. I will not be able to attend as I will be getting installed in the Anderson Knight Templar Commandery line that night but after December that shouldn't effect us. Remember that at the inspection we are responsible for opening and introductions. We will focus on those at the next few practices but don't forget to keep up on the initiation stuff because we have came so far! If I don't see you, I hope everyone has a very Merry Christmas and a wonderful New Year! Danetta will see you all on the 21st. By the way, we have two petitions coming in from demitted members of Daleville Chapter so at least we will have some new members.

Danetta and I will be arriving at Montana Mike's in Anderson at 11:30 a.m. This should give us plenty of time to get down to the Scottish Rite Cathedral by the 2:00 p.m. first performance. Tomorrow is our deputy visit with Pam Peters. Sister Mary Hankins will be taking care of the refreshments for afterward and Sister Laura Curtis will be going out early to set up the Chapter. Jerry and I will hopefully be there between 5:45 and 6 due to my work. We will have to take down the Chapter afterward because the lodge is having events this week. We hope to see you all there! Hello, Everyone!

Please remember our last practice before the deputy visit is on Tuesday the 20th at 6:30. Don't hesitate to ask questions and/ or go over whatever you need more help on! Hello, everyone!

We are going to have initiation practice at the least the next 2 Tuesdays at 6:30. All members are welcome to join us for these!
We will plan the future practices according to the lodge calendar and the officer's calendars on the 29th.
Our friend's night/ stated meeting is on Monday the 28th. It is a luau theme with lei's, a carry in of finger foods by our members, and you are encouraged to dress in accordance with the luau theme! Hope to see you all there!

Just thought I would post this for anyone wanting to go to the Masonic Home Festival:

Greetings Brethren!
I hope all are enjoying the Labor Day weekend. Tomorrow night is a Lodge of Instruction practice at 6 p.m. This Wednesday is the annual Lodge of Instruction, which is a required event for all officers. Dinner is at 6 and lodge opens at 7 p.m. and all members are highly encouraged to come out!
Saturday is the Indiana Masonic Home Festival, celebrating 100 years of our home. Anyone wishing to join the lodge as a group should meet at the lodge at 7 a.m. Leaving the lodge and going to breakfast, probably at Denny's in Daleville. The Festival starts at 11 a.m. and lasts until around 4 p.m. If you are interested, I will be attending the Dwight L. Smith Lodge of Research meeting at 10:30 in the chapel of the Masonic Home. All Master Masons are welcome to join us. The featured speaker will be talking at Indiana native, Freemason, and astronaut, Gus Grissom. If you have any questions regarding any of these events please contact any officer or myself.
