Happy Trivia Tuesday! In the early years of PLYC, we taught lifesaving to groups of campers as one of the activity options. This photo comes from the second year of Girls' Camp at PLYC (1932) and pictures a method of lifesaving that was popular in the first half of the twentieth century. Any guesses on what the name of this method is? How about the year that it was replaced with the current method of CPR? Comment down below!



Answer from last Trivia Tuesday: Sleeping bags were first mass produced just twenty years before the start of PLYC in 1876, however, down sleeping bags did not hit the market until 1890.

Look at our ✨ glow up ✨ around camp! We’ve added some lights to the tents in our National Parks Unit and the Veranda of the Dining Hall to help illuminate those areas to maintain safety for all of our campers and staff throughout the summer nights.
