🎃🌙 Our special event at The Hollows at Phantom Lake YMCA was full of Halloween magic! We enjoyed chili for dinner, followed by an enchanting stroll through a magical pumpkin wonderland, then warmed up with hot cocoa. A perfect evening of fall fun and making memories together! ☕🍂

Sarah has been working on her DLS baking skills at The Haase House for many months now, here is a testimony from her mom!

"Sarah has made wonderful progress on her Daily Living Skills goals at The Haase House. Once a week she chooses a recipe and shops with staff for the ingredients she will need, building important grocery store and community living skills. She then uses those items at The Haase House to bake a different recipe each week, carefully practicing her measuring skills with guidance from staff.

Sarah truly loves to bake. She enjoys trying new sweet treats and takes great pride in sharing them with others. Her enthusiasm recently led her to bring some of her homemade baked goods to work so she could share them with her co-workers—an experience that brought her joy and helped her connect with others.
We are proud of Sarah’s dedication, growing independence, and the happiness she finds in creating and sharing her baking with the people around her."

🍂 HELP US GET THE HAASE HOUSE READY BEFORE THE SNOW FLIES! 🍂 🏡💪

It’s that time of year again! We have projects to tackle around our home and yard before winter arrives, and we could use a little extra help! ❤️

As you know, our staff put so much time, energy, and heart into our programming and creating meaningful experiences for the young adults we serve. Keeping up with the home and yard is a big job, too, and we would love to bring a few extra helping hands together to get things done!

🛠️ Can you spare just TWO HOURS?

We’ve identified projects that need attention and set aside three days for volunteers to join us. Check out the attached flyer to see our list of needs!

✅ Choose the task that interests you. When you click the sign-up link, you can select the project you’d like to help with or choose “Other” if you have another way you’d like to contribute. We’ll connect with you from there!

🌦️ Most projects are outdoors, so weather may affect our plans. If rain interferes with the time you selected, we’re happy to work with you to arrange another time.

🧤 We’ll have the supplies ready for you!

Our hope is to get as much accomplished as possible and, if all goes well, wrap things up around lunchtime on Saturday so everyone can enjoy the rest of their weekend!

Whether you can give us two hours, bring a helping hand, or share this post with someone who might be interested, we appreciate you! Every little bit helps us keep The Haase House welcoming, safe, and ready for the seasons ahead. 💚
