☀️🧡 We’ve been making the most of summer at The Haase House!

From hiking at Paradise Springs to cooling off at a pool party at Jacob’s, our summer has been full of fun and great memories. We even had a special visit from Nova, Emma’s golden retriever, who brought plenty of smiles! 🐶

It’s been a summer filled with friendship, adventure, time outdoors, and lots of reasons to smile! 🌿☀️

We simply can’t say enough about what an outstanding local employer and partner Phantom Lake YMCA is! 💙

The opportunities they provide for our young adults go far beyond having a summer job. Their managers and staff see potential. They notice abilities, recognize strengths, and then—perhaps most importantly—they believe our young adults can do more.

When they see someone succeed at one task, they look for the next opportunity to build on that success. They don’t lower expectations because someone has a disability. Instead, they ask, “What else can they do?” And that is not always the experience people with disabilities have in the workplace.

At The Haase House, we believe our young adults can do so much more when given the opportunity, the right support, and someone who believes in them. The team at Phantom Lake YMCA shares that belief—and the impact is immense.

These opportunities are helping our young adults build confidence, independence, meaningful work skills, friendships, and a true sense of belonging in their community.

Soaking up the last bits of summer! ☀️🏊‍♂️

The Haase House took full advantage of a beautiful fall day to catch a dip at the Burlington Aquatic Center. It was so wonderful to step away from our usual life skill instruction for a bit to just splash around, catch some sun, and relax together.

The highlight of the day? Our brave guy Joey officially took the "leap" and tried out the high dive for the very first time! And yes, because it’s truly a part of him, his favorite hat made the splash right along with him. 🧢💦

Days like this remind us how important it is to balance hard work with pure fun. We left with tired muscles, big smiles, and great memories!

Our crew hits the Mukwonago YMCA several times a week to crush their fitness goals. Check out the incredible results of hard work and great staff coaching:

Independent Pros: Everyone follows their own custom workout chart and sets their own machine weights without help. 🏋️‍♂️

The Routine: They lock in and complete 3 full sets on every designated machine.

Top-Tier Members: They are always incredibly respectful of other Y members working out alongside them. ❤️

Leveling Up: Many crew members are officially increasing their lifting weights!

Record Breaker: Shoutout to Shianne, who is now leg pressing over 110 pounds! 🤯🎉

True health knows no limits, and strength belongs to everyone. We don't see disabilities—we just see dedication, value, and unstoppable power! 🌟

Look at Jacob!🥒 He’s showing off the amazing cucumbers we grew in our ADA gardens at The Haase House. We ate some for a healthy snack, shared the rest with our families, and yes—we are absolutely bragging about it. 😎🌱

🌱💚 Our clients had the opportunity to volunteer at Green Power Garden twice this summer!

On our first visit, we got our hands in the soil and helped plant potatoes, corn, and radishes. Later in the summer, we returned to help harvest shallots and garlic. 🧄🥔

We love volunteering opportunities like this that connect our clients with nature, teach valuable skills, and allow them to give back to the community. Best of all, the fresh produce goes to The Hope Center in Waukesha, helping provide nutritious food to people in need.

We’re grateful to Green Power Garden for welcoming us and giving our clients the opportunity to make a difference! 💙
