Paco's Rescue Tails

Paco's Rescue Tails We are a small group of volunteers working at making a difference in the daily lives of dogs that have been abandoned in Carroll County, Illinois.

Paco’s Rescue Tails is a small group of volunteers working at making a difference for dogs AT the Carroll County Pound in Mount Carroll, Il. It is named for our beloved founder Mary's rescue dog Paco who brought love and acceptance to every person or animal he met. In Mary's memory, we are dedicated to making a difference for other shelter dogs. Dogs are abandoned /surrendered to the Carroll Count

y Animal Control, with limited resources, Animal Control staff cares for these dogs. However, it is a one man department with a part time weekend staff. There are no advertising dollars to promote adoption or bring awareness to their plight. Some of these furry friends have been here for several months. Each day the dogs give love unconditionally despite their fear and tough life circumstances. As volunteers, we exercise the dogs and provide one on one time and work on basic training. We diligently put forth the effort to release pent up energy and anxiety to help make them adoptable on sight. Our mission is making a difference for every dog who becomes a guest of the Carroll County Pound. We greatly appreciate donations. All funds raised go to the direct care and improvement of living conditions for the dogs. We are a 501c3 non-profit organization. Donations can be mailed directly to Paco's Rescue Tail at the Mount Carroll Banking Center, 410 S. Clay St., Mount Carroll, Il. 61053. Thank you for your kindness and support.

Last but not least.... CAIL 💕
🏆 Cail wins smallest AND highest jumper 🤯
As ACO Lisa says, this girl is "spring loaded" 😄 she's only 25-30 pounds & jumps for joy at the sight of any human! Don't worry - she knows "down" and will lay as pictured. Then once you reach for her, she expects belly rubs 🥰
Cail is a young girl, between 6 months & a year. Petite and expected to be a small to medium adult.

📞For more information or to meet Cail, call Lisa at Carroll County Animal Control, 815-244-9705

Weston was runner up for most handsome... but he wins SO much more..
Most fun! 😀
Best smile 😊
Goofiest 🤪
& best tricks! Weston already knew sit & shake coming into the pound. He is food motivated and could easily learn so much more.
Weston would be a great family dog. He'd keep up with littles, tag along for any adventure, and happily try to fit on your lap during movie night.

The winner of best wiggles.... OPAL 💕

Young & fun are the best ways to describe this wiggly girl. She is eager to learn and LOVES people. It may be because they often come with treats 😄 her manners have improved since coming to the pound a few months ago, which shows how good of a dog she can be with some time, consistency, and treats.

Opal also won the title of worst fetcher 😅 she decided pets was better than play. Check comments for video.

The best fetcher award goes to.... BLAZE 🧡

This fun young guy loves to play fetch and be active! Out of the 5 dogs at the pound, he's the best at retrieving & bringing it back. (He also won most handsome, but don't tell the others🥰). Few rounds of ball & this sweetheart is ready for belly rubs & snuggles.

Blaze and his 4 roomies are ready for their forever home 🏡 all fun, all cute, all sweet as can be.

📞Give Lisa a call at 815-244-9705 with questions about Blaze or any of his friends at Carroll County Animal Control.
