💙 Thank You, Messiah Lutheran Church! 💙

A huge thank-you to Messiah Lutheran Church and Preschool for their incredible generosity during Vacation Bible School! Their VBS donation brought 600 pounds of food and more than 5,000 diapers to the Ralph Reeder Food Shelf.

These donations will make a tremendous difference for local families in our community. Food and diapers are both items that families regularly need, and this generosity will help us provide essential resources to those who depend on the food shelf.

We are so grateful to the children, families, congregation, and everyone who helped make this VBS donation possible. Thank you, Messiah Lutheran Church, for teaching generosity and putting that lesson into action! ❤️

💙 Thank You, New Brighton & Mounds View! 💙

We are incredibly grateful to the City of New Brighton and the City of Mounds View for collecting and donating food and school supplies to the Ralph Reeder Food Shelf during National Night Out and Night to Unite last week!

We also want to thank the New Brighton Department of Public Safety and Mounds View Police Department who delivered the generous donations collected from residents to our food shelf. We appreciate you helping bring our community's generosity directly to the families we serve!

These community events are a wonderful reminder of what can happen when neighbors come together to support one another. The generous donations will help provide food and school supplies to local families in our community.

A special thank-you as well to all of the volunteers who helped collect, sort, organize, and process these donations. Your time and hard work make it possible for us to get these resources into the hands of the families who need them.

Thank you, New Brighton and Mounds View, for continuing to support your neighbors and our community! ❤️

🎒✏️ Help Students Start the School Year Strong! ✏️🎒

The Ralph Reeder Food Shelf's Good Neighbor Back to School Project is underway, and we're collecting new school supplies to help local students begin the school year feeling prepared, confident, and ready to learn.

This year, one of our greatest needs is backpacks for high school students. While supplies for younger children are often donated in abundance, backpacks suitable for teens can be much harder to come by.

You can help by donating new school supplies or shopping directly from our Amazon Wish List:

Drop-off Location:
📍 2544 Mounds View Blvd.
Mounds View, MN 55112

Donation Deadline: August 7th

Every backpack, notebook, and box of pencils helps ease the financial burden on local families and ensures students can walk into the classroom with the supplies they need to succeed. Thank you for helping our community's children start the school year with confidence!

🌞 Join us for the Open Your Heart Summer Challenge and help double your impact this July! 🧡

Summer can be an especially difficult time for families facing food insecurity, and the need in our community remains high. That’s why we’re participating in the Open Your Heart to the Hungry and Homeless (OYH) Summer Challenge — and we need your support.

Throughout the month of July, donations made to our food shelf will be partially matched. That means your gift can go even further in helping us provide nutritious food and essential support to individuals and families in our community.

➡️ Donate here: https://www.givemn.org/give/Ralph-Reeder-Food-Shelf-

Every contribution makes a real difference. Your support helps us keep our shelves stocked and ensures that no one in our community has to face hunger alone.

Thank you for standing with us and helping us open our hearts to our neighbors in need. 💛

We’d like to express our heartfelt appreciation to Help A Neighbor for the incredible work they have put into creating (and maintaining) a garden that will provide fresh produce for the Ralph Reeder Food Shelf. 🌱💚

This garden is more than just a source of nutritious food—it’s a beautiful example of neighbors coming together to care for one another. The time, energy, and dedication that went into this project will help ensure families in our community have access to fresh, healthy produce throughout the growing season.

Thank you to everyone involved with Help A Neighbor for your compassion, hard work, and continued commitment to supporting local families.

March is Minnesota FoodShare Month — one of the most important times of the year to support local food shelves!

Throughout March, you can make an even bigger impact by donating food, making a financial gift, or simply helping spread the word. Every pound of food and every dollar donated this month helps restock our shelves after winter and ensures families in our community continue to have access to nutritious food.

Even better — donations made in March count toward a partial match. Every contribution helps us qualify for a larger grant through the GMCC FoodFund, meaning your generosity goes even further to support neighbors facing food insecurity!
