Over the weekend we had the honor of joining the New Hope Police Department, City of Robbinsdale Police Department, and of course, City of Crystal Police Department to present Officer Daniela Romo with a check for $760, raised through this year's MVPD Pink Patch sales.

Each October, we sell our Pink Patches as part of our ongoing efforts to fundraise for the fight against breast cancer, while also honoring retired Officer Kirsten Heineman, a breast cancer survivor. This year, we were deeply moved to learn that Officer Romo, of Crystal PD, was recently diagnosed with breast cancer and undergoing treatment.

We are happy to report that Officer Romo completed her final round of chemotherapy in late September and is now focused on her recovery, with plans to return to patrol as soon as possible.

We want to extend a huge THANK YOU to everyone who supported us by purchasing patches or donating. Your contributions make this work possible, and we are grateful for your support in helping us reach this moment.

Starting tomorrow you'll see several Mounds View Officers display a pink MVPD Patch on their uniform! No need to get your eyes checked, its right! Throughout the month of October, you can help support our Pink Patch Project by purchasing a pink standard uniform patch, or pink K9 Patch at the Police Department Front Desk.

This year our proceeds will be going directly to Crystal PD Officer Daniela Romo who is currently undergoing treatment for Breast Cancer. As we enter our 5th year of participation in the Pink Patch Project we are proud to announce that we are partnering with the Crystal Police Department to have our proceeds this year donated to Officer Daniela Romo who just recently completed her last round of chemo treatments!
