Applications to be considered for a year-long senior royalty position with the American Shetland Pony Club are due the week of August 24. The role is open to both male and female applicants between 17 & 23 years of age. Senior royalty serves as a promotional ambassador for all of the breeds under ASPC’s umbrella. One candidate will be selected and is expected to attend both AMHR Nationals and the ASPC Congress as well as two conventions. Details on the requirements and the application are available on the ASPC’s website.

The 2026 Amateur Committee is planning a Meet Your Fellow Amateur event for Sunday September 13, starting at 6 pm and lasting until 8 pm or maybe longer if we are all having fun. We will have refreshments and snacks provided. We will have corn hole and hopefully some other games as well. The current plan is to meet in the grassy area just to the East of the Ford Truck Event Hall. The Event Hall is where the AMHR office, Concession and some of the vendors are set up. This grassy area should be a shady area, so hopefully it won't be too hot. Bring your lawn chairs!! We will also be handing out the Amateur bags and shirts during this time.

Looking for young adults ready to be a promotional figure for the ASPC/AMHR/ASPR for 2027. Application will be available on the registry website shortly. In the meantime, gather letters of recommendation and prepare to write about your background and WHY you’d like to be Queen or Ambassador. We welcome applicants for any gender age 17-23. You’ll need to plan to attend convention in Tucson.
