What a great Pinewood Derby! 🚗💨
So proud of all the Cub Scouts who worked hard designing, building, and racing their cars today. The creativity and sportsmanship were awesome to see. Big thanks to the volunteers and leaders who helped make the event happen!

Pack 838 has a total of 12 scholarships available for children in grades K-5 who are new to Scouting. Scholarship covers national, council, and pack dues. It does not cover uniform, book, Scout Life magazine, or any separate optional activity costs such as Council-sponsored events like Spook-O-Ree or Cub Family Weekends. If approved for a scholarship, you will be contacted and you will be asked to complete a paper Youth Application to Scouting America, which the Pack will submit on your behalf with dues payment. Selection is based upon the quality of your answer to why your child wants to be a Cub Scout, the distribution of Scouts across all den levels, and the number of scholarships. The deadline to apply is 9/21/25.
