This July, CAPLP is partnering with Group Workcamps to repair 34 homes for local seniors, veterans, individuals with disabilities, single parents, and families facing financial hardship.

Hundreds of youth volunteers from across the country will spend five days improving homes and making a lasting difference in our community.

To make this project possible, we need to raise $25,000 by July!

Donate today and help us Repair. Refresh. Restore.

You can also help by sharing this post. Every share helps us reach more people and brings us one step closer to our goal.

After months of studying, essay writing, an exam, and nervously refreshing inboxes, the results are finally in and several CAPLP team members are probably sleeping a little better tonight.

Please join us in congratulating our newest Certified Community Action Professionals (CCAPs):

• Stephanie Thompson
• Nicole Boewood
• Angie Cleveland
• Tyler Schroeder
• Abigail Knopps

The CCAP credential recognizes those who have demonstrated a deep knowledge and application of the core competencies required to effectively carry out the vision, mission, purpose, and values of the Community Action movement.

Congratulations to CAPLP's newest CCAP's!

A little bit of Disney magic came to the library last night! ❄️

Families present for the Early Head Start and Flourishing Families event were joined by special guests from Trollwood's upcoming Mainstage production of Frozen.

Cast members shared a couple songs from the show, talked about what it's like to be part of the production, and helped create a memorable evening for the children and families in attendance.

The fun wrapped up with a drawing for a four-pack of tickets to see Frozen on stage!

Thank you to Trollwood Performing Arts School for helping make the evening so special and for sharing the joy of the arts with our families.

This week, CAPLP Executive Director, Lori Schwartz, and Economic Empowerment Manager, Alli Ward, had the opportunity to support other agencies working through NCAP's Whole Family Approach Communities of Practice.

They had the pleasure of presenting what worked best for CAPLP's Whole Family Approach integration, and also provided peer coaching to the agencies and staff from across the nation.

We're proud to contribute to conversations that help strengthen services for children and families nationwide and grateful for opportunities to learn from and collaborate with community action professionals across the country.
