Earlier this month, to help families head into the new school year feeling prepared and supported, CAPLP hosted a Start Smart Family Night at the Moorhead Public Library.

Families joined us for an evening filled with back-to-school resources, including backpacks and school supplies, donated clothing, free haircut trims, potty-training kits, community resources, and plenty of pizza.

A big thank you to the community partners, donors, volunteers, and CAPLP staff who helped make the evening possible. We’re grateful for everyone who came together to support local children and families as they start a new school year!

❤️ Yesterday’s Mobile Food Drop in Breckenridge helped provide food for 162 households!

Thank you to our CAPLP staff, volunteers, and North Country Food Bank, Inc. for making the day possible, from unloading and organizing food to packing vehicles and keeping everything moving.

We’re grateful to everyone who continues to come together to help make sure our neighbors have access to the food and resources they need.

A huge thank you to the Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks Baseball for having CAPLP as the Community Organization of the Game last night!

We had such a great time connecting with the community, sharing more about CAPLP, and cheering on the RedHawks.

We’re grateful for the opportunity to be part of the night and for the RedHawks’ support of local organizations like ours. Thank you to everyone who stopped by our table to say hello, learn more about CAPLP, and give our Spin to Win wheel a try!

The North Country Food Bank, Inc. is back for another Mobile Food Drop tomorrow, Wednesday, August 26, from 11 a.m. to noon, or until food runs out.

Picking up for another household? Please come prepared with the full name and household size for each individual family you are picking up for. This information is required for intake.

Please share to help us spread the word to individuals and families who may benefit!

A little behind-the-scenes look at CAPLP!

Our Head Start staff recently had the opportunity to tour Youthworks and the Emergency Food Pantry learning more about the work happening each day with our community partners to support local individuals and families.

Opportunities like these help our staff better understand the resources available in the community and how we can work together to connect people with the support they need.
