IAOK, OMA, and OTS successfully concluded the 2nd Annual Badminton Tournament for Women’s, Mixed, and Senior Doubles and the 1st Annual Pickleball Tournament for Senior and General Doubles. With close to 100 players participating across events, this was truly one of the biggest community tournaments in Oklahoma.
A big thank you to our collaborating organizations — Oklahoma Malayalee Association (OMA) and Oklahoma Telugu Sangam (OTS). This event would not have been possible without their partnership and support.
A heartfelt thank you to all the players, supporters, and volunteers who helped make this event a grand success.
A special shoutout to our dedicated Badminton Tournament volunteers:
Bhargav for managing the front desk and keeping everything organized throughout the day; and Angela, Sai Kiran, Sanu, Mouli, Venkat, Jagadeeshwari, Gayathri, Shivani, Jayaprakash, Joseph, and Praneesh for helping with line judgment and refereeing, and other logistics.
A big shoutout to our amazing *Pickleball Tournament* volunteers:
*Hina Sharma* and *Smithesh* for managing the front desk so efficiently; *Praveen Vajjha* and *Sai Kiran* for refereeing the playoff games; *Raj Rana, Dominic Antony, Sridhar,* and all the other players who stepped in to help with line judgment and refereeing; and *Praveen Pratapneni* for coordinating the facility at *Lifetime Fitness* to complete the *Finals* game.
Special thanks to *Sreedhar Domakonda, Sugunan,* and *Ashish* for taking care of the food and other logistics, and to *Smithesh* for setting up the scoring app for both *Badminton* and *Pickleball*.
