Super PROUD of one of our volunteer trainers, Dani on her recent graduation from OU.

Our organization would not be the same without her and her experience!

Help us congratulate her!

Any veteran looking for a pup, we can help you chose one that will fit your needs! Help us help them!

Our kennels are FULL… and the dogs are starting to think they run the place. We’ve got zoomies, wiggle butts, professional treat tasters, expert snugglers, and a few “I swear I’m innocent” faces all waiting for homes. To help clear the shelter and give these pups the happy endings they deserve, ALL dog adoptions are FREE through May 30! That means your new best friend could be waiting for you right now, no adoption fee required.
Please help us spread the word, stop by to meet our adoptable dogs, or share this post so these deserving pups can trade kennel life for couch life. We hope to see you over the next week while we're running Free Adoptions! Training last week consisted of a couple necessary commands - tuck and under!

It is a team effort to protect each other and that includes keeping all limbs of your pup out of harms way and “tucked” up so they don’t get stepped on. Some pups prefer to be spread out but not all locations can accommodate that so it’s important we prepare for everything!!!

🐾 FOUND DOGS & STRAYS – PLEASE READ 🐾

We know how much people care. When you find a stray dog, your first instinct is to help—and we love that. But there are laws and processes in place for a reason, and MAD Rescue follows them in every case.

👉 If you find a stray dog, your FIRST step is to report it to local Animal Control and file a found dog report.
This step is not optional—it’s how lost dogs get back to their families.

Now, take a moment and put yourself in this situation…

Imagine your dog gets out.
Through no fault of your own.

You are frantic. Panicked. Desperate to find them.
You check shelters. You call around. You search nonstop.

But no one ever reported finding your dog.
No report was filed. No record exists.

So when you go looking… it’s like your dog vanished.

You spend days… weeks… months… even years wondering what happened.
Hoping. Searching. Heartbroken.

💔 We see this more often than people realize.

🐕 What many don’t know:

• Dogs can look thin, dirty, or “neglected” very quickly when they’re on their own

• A rough appearance does NOT mean they aren’t loved

• A dog being stray for days—or even longer—does NOT mean someone isn’t desperately searching

Owners deserve the chance to find their beloved pet.

⚖️ The law matters
Stray hold laws exist to:

• Give owners time to locate their dog

• Create a record so shelters and rescues can help reunite families

These laws vary by county and state, but the purpose is the same everywhere:
👉 Reunification first. Always.

📢 What YOU should do if you find a dog:

1. Report to local Animal Control / shelter immediately

2. File a found dog report

3. Follow their guidance on next steps

4. Then, if needed, reach out to rescues like MAD

🙏 Please remember:
Just because a dog looks lost… doesn’t mean they aren’t loved.
Just because time has passed… doesn’t mean someone gave up.

Do the right thing. Follow the process.
You could be the reason a family is made whole again. 🐾❤️
