Why We Stand

🇺🇸 Flag Etiquette Tuesday

Why do we stand for the American flag?

Standing during the National Anthem, the Pledge of Allegiance, or while the American flag passes in a parade is one of the simplest ways we show respect for our nation and those who have defended it.

Veterans and active-duty military members in uniform render a military salute.

Those not in uniform should:
🇺🇸 Stand.
🧢 Remove hats.
❤️ Place their right hand over their heart.

These small gestures honor the freedoms represented by our flag.

Many of our followers are looking for a better understanding of the candidates and issues that are in play in next month's primary for Marquette County Sheriff.

As such, our own Tom Wastart has arranged a candidate forum which will take place this Thursday July 30th. The forum will start at 6 at the Montello American Legion Post.
