Pittcon Pittcon is a dynamic, transnational conference and exposition on laboratory science.

Pittcon is the world's annual premier Conference and Exposition on laboratory science. It is organized by The Pittsburgh Conference on Analytical Chemistry and Applied Spectroscopy, a Pennsylvania not-for-profit educational corporation which is comprised of the Spectroscopy Society of Pittsburgh (SSP) and the Society for Analytical Chemists of Pittsburgh (SACP). Pittcon attracts attendees from ind

ustry, academia and government from 90 countries worldwide and is managed by a committee of volunteers and a 11-person staff. Proceeds from Pittcon fund science education and outreach at all levels, kindergarten through adult. The Pittsburgh Conference donates nearly a million dollars each year in the form of science equipment grants, research grants, scholarships and internships for students, awards to teachers and professors, and grants to public science centers, libraries and museums.

Congratulations to the SACP / SSP on another successful year of supporting science, education, and the scientific community! 👏

At last week's annual wrap-up/kick-off meeting, the ceremonial torch was passed from outgoing leaders Neal Dando (SACP) and C.B. Wang (SSP) to incoming SACP Co-Chairs Josh Imperatore and Jordan Boothe.

Thank you, Neal and C.B., for your dedication and leadership, and best wishes to Josh and Jordan as they begin the next chapter. We look forward to another great year together!

It was great to be back in Pittsburgh and see firsthand the venue and city that will welcome our attendees, exhibitors, and speakers in 2027.

This week, the Pittcon team is in Pittsburgh for a site visit at the David L. Lawrence Convention Center, where we'll be planning and preparing for an incredible event as Pittcon returns home to the Steel City. 🔬✨

A big thank you to David L. Lawrence Convention Center and Visit Pittsburgh for helping us bring Pittcon 2027 to life. We can't wait to welcome the global laboratory science community to Pittsburgh!
