Danielle Zurisko and the kindergarten teachers of Woodland Hills School District are working hard to make this Saturday’s Kindergarten Fall Festival a fun, welcoming event for our newest Woodland Hills families!

The Woodland Hills Foundation has committed $550 to help make this special event possible. Thanks to a generous $500 sponsorship from Arron Thompson of Edward Jones, and an additional $25 donation from Martina Johnston, we have already raised a total of $1,078 toward our $1,212 goal!

We’re just $135 away from reaching our goal!

So far, 40 families have RSVP’d, representing approximately 140 guests! We want to make sure every family enjoys a wonderful afternoon filled with food, games, treats, giveaways, face painting, and fun.

Your donation will help us cover the remaining costs of food, decorations, treats, and a face painter to make this a memorable experience for our kindergarten students and their families.

Please consider making a donation today! Every dollar helps us give our newest Woodland Hills families a warm welcome to our school community.

Thank you for helping us make this event possible!

We did it! Thanks to our incredible community and the generosity of the Stein Family Charitable Fund, we've exceeded our October goal for the Stein Family Matching Gift Challenge!

Together, we've raised $1,100 this month to support the Woodland Hills Foundation's Food Security Initiative!

Here's how we got there:

$600 in community contributions, including a generous $500 Trunk or Treat sponsorship from JKS Financial

$500 matching gift from the Stein Family Charitable Fund

A special thank you to our October supporters:

Nicki Siverling
Ginger Drakulic
Katie Majewski
JKS Financial
The Stein Family Charitable Fund

But we're not stopping at $1,100!

We have just TWO DAYS left in October, and we're setting a new goal: $1,500!

Can we raise an additional $400 before the month ends?

While we're working toward building a permanent endowment to sustain our food security programs, we still need to fund them today. Every week, Backpacks of Hope provides weekend meals for students in grades K–8, while the WHHS Free Student Pantry helps high school students access food and essential supplies.

Reaching our monthly fundraising goal helps us meet immediate needs. Exceeding it brings us closer to ensuring these programs are available to Woodland Hills students for years to come.

The Stein Family has already contributed their full $500 match for October, so every additional donation will help us move closer to our new $1,500 goal!

If you've been thinking about making a donation, now is a wonderful time. No amount is too small, and every gift makes a difference.

Let's finish October strong!

Thank you for helping us make sure no Woodland Hills student has to face food insecurity alone.

It costs the Woodland Hills Foundation at least $1,000 every month to keep our Backpacks of Hope and Free High School Pantry programs running throughout the school year.

Thanks to the generosity of our community and the Stein Family Matching Gift Challenge, we've been exceeding our monthly fundraising goals! In October alone, our community has contributed $600, bringing our October total to $1,100 with the Stein family's $500 gift!

But meeting our monthly goal is only half the battle.

For the past two years, we've also been working to establish a $100,000 endowment that will provide long-term financial support for these programs. We've raised approximately $54,000 toward that goal, but here's the challenge: the money we raise today is also the money we need to spend to keep students fed tomorrow.

As our programs grow and costs increase, simply meeting our monthly fundraising goal isn't enough to build the financial security these programs need. We must consistently exceed that goal so we can continue feeding students today while setting aside funds to help sustain these programs for generations to come.

That's why every donation beyond our $1,000 monthly minimum matters so much.

Please consider giving today. Together, we can meet the immediate needs of our students while building a future in which these vital programs can continue for years to come.
