20,000 meals. One community. A whole lot of love!

What an incredible day at the Compassion Center! With the help of The Pack Shack, we came together to pack 20,000 meals for families in our community! We were blessed to have so many churches, community leaders, and volunteers join us for this special event, including Gerald Brown, Mayor of Richwood, and representatives from Mayor Friday Ellis’ office.

When churches, community leaders, and neighbors work together, amazing things happen! We’re so grateful to everyone who gave their time and energy to make this possible.

Most importantly, we’re thankful for the opportunity to serve our community and be the hands and feet of Jesus.

☕️ Happy National Coffee Day! ☕️

Around the Compassion Center, coffee is practically part of the volunteer uniform! 😂 Our volunteers know that a good cup of coffee can help keep you going while packing boxes, sorting food, and serving others.

But then there’s Karen… our leader who doesn’t drink coffee! 😳😂

Thankfully, she has Michael. He drinks enough coffee for BOTH of them! ☕️☕️🤣

Whether you’re a one-cup-a-day person, a whole-pot kind of person, or like Karen and skip it altogether, we’re thankful for the people who show up, serve faithfully, and make the work of the Compassion Center possible.

And today, we’re especially thankful for all of our volunteers who bring their coffee, their energy, and most importantly, their hearts to serve. ❤️

Today we’re giving a special shoutout to our friends at Community Baptist Church! 💙

This group has faithfully shown up again and again to serve at the Compassion Center, helping box food and prepare for distributions. Their consistency, servant hearts, and willingness to jump in wherever needed have made such a difference in what we’re able to do for children and families in our community.
We are so grateful for Community Baptist Church and every volunteer who gives their time to serve alongside us. Every box packed, every hour given, and every helping hand matters—and together, we’re making an impact! 🙏💙

❤️ Many hands. One mission. One purpose.

Today, volunteers from Paron Baptist Church, along with some of our amazing friends and volunteers, came together at the Compassion Center to pack food boxes for distribution throughout the coming week.

Every box represents more than food—it represents love, hope, and an opportunity to show someone the love of Christ. We are so grateful for everyone who gives their time and serves so faithfully!

🎉 Congratulations to one of our amazing Ministry Partners, Loving Hands Foster Ministry on the opening of your new building, Hope House🏠❤️

What a beautiful reminder of how God continues to open doors and provide opportunities to serve even more children and families in our communities.

Today, they were busy taping and preparing boxes that will soon be filled with food and sent out to families and ministry partners across our community. 💙

It may seem like a simple job, but every box is part of something bigger — loving people, meeting needs, and sharing hope.
