Be part of the MAD Dash Shoe Garden! It's a special way to honor loved ones who have faced cancer. Celebrate survivors, remember those we’ve lost, and share their names on race day with a commemorative sign.

Signs are available for purchase during online registration or in the MAD Dash store at MADdash5k.com.

Signs will be available to take home after the MADdash5k on September 26th. 💙

We’d like to wrap up National Volunteer Week by recognizing this fabulous group of volunteers who, as a whole, make the Mad Dash 5K a success! Our group of volunteers came together (most of which served together on the committee that was responsible for the NELA Race for the Cure) and reimagined and reinvented that event that we now know as the Mad Dash 5K, benefitting the Louisiana Cancer Foundation. 100% of the funds raised stay right here in our community to help cancer patients undergoing treatments. Our group starts meeting 8 months prior to the Race, making so many sacrifices to ensure the success of this fundraiser. We couldn’t do it without this group of local community leaders so please join us in thanking them. THEY are making a difference!

We would like to recognize Dollie Gaddis, Shonica Dix and Kechia Williams as some of our awesome volunteers who are major assets. These ladies put in a lot of work behind the scenes, ensuring the race packets are ready to pick up on the days prior to race, as well as handle registration on race day. They work so well under pressure and we couldn’t do it without them! Thank you, ladies, for all that you do to make the Mad Dash 5k successful! Your dedication is invaluable! You guys truly Make A Difference in the lives of cancer patients here in NELA.

Chris is always behind the scenes helping with the logistics of the race course itself, which may sound simple, but it’s a huge undertaking. He spends countless hours ensuring the safety and accuracy of our courses, while dealing with equipment/police/water etc. Please join us in thanking our incredible Race Director!
