👻 No Tricks, Just the TREAT of a New Bed!👻

While Halloween is all about costumes, candy, and spooky surprises, we believe every child deserves a different kind of treat... a safe, comfortable bed to call their own! ❤️🛏️❤️

At Sleep in Heavenly Peace, our mission isn’t spooky, but the number of children sleeping on floors is! Together, we’re working to change that, one bed at a time.

🎃 Wishing everyone a safe, fun, and Happy Halloween! 🎃

NO KID SLEEPS ON THE FLOOR IN OUR TOWN! 🛏️

To many of us, a bed is simply a piece of furniture. But for a child in need, a bed represents so much more. A bed provides comfort, peace of mind, dignity, and warmth ✨🧸. Most importantly, it gives them the restful sleep they need to grow, learn, and thrive 💛.

Right now, there are families in our community who are waiting for that basic necessity. If you or someone you know is in need of a bed for a child, please don’t wait. Families can sign up to receive a bed by visiting shpbeds.org/apply 🔗🏠.

How you can help:

Please share this post and spread the word 🗣️ so we can reach every family who needs us. Together, we can make sure no child has to sleep on the floor 🛏️.

🛏️ Building Beds, Building Hope! ❤️

Monroe Community Credit Union recently hosted a bed build on Sunday in support of Sleep in Heavenly Peace - MI, Monroe Co, an organization dedicated to ensuring that no child has to sleep on the floor.

MCNN caught up with Erin Storck of Monroe Community CU and Jacob Krueger of Monroe Erie Youth Advisory Council to learn more about the event and how the community can get involved!

🛏️ Want to help? MCCU is hosting a bedding drive at all Monroe Community Credit Union branches, collecting donations through tomorrow October 9th!

There's still time to make a difference! Stop by your local MCCU branch and help provide children in need with a comfortable place to sleep.

Today, we joined forces with Monroe Community CU for an amazing Community Bed Build. Thanks to an incredible group of volunteers and community partners, 50 brand-new beds were built today - meaning 50 more local kids will soon have a safe, comfortable bed of their own.

In the coming weeks, these beds will head directly into homes throughout our community. Fifty beds. Fifty kids whose lives are about to change. That is what happens when a community comes together around one mission: NO KID SLEEPS ON THE FLOOR IN OUR TOWN!

A huge thank you to Monroe Community Credit Union for hosting today’s build and to the organizations whose generosity helped make this day and our continued mission possible:

• Community Foundation of Monroe County
• La-Z-Boy
• Friendly Ford Lincoln
• All Temp Heating & Cooling of Monroe
• The Mannik & Smith Group, Inc.
• L.A. Lawn And Landscaping LLC
• Social House 103
• Hungry Howie's Pizza
• Fast Signs
• St. Michael the Archangel Parish - Monroe, Michigan
• James S Jacobs Architects
• DTE Energy
• Unity Exchange Club of Monroe
• Exchange Club of Monroe, MI
• Monroe Kiwanis

To every sponsor, volunteer, supporter, and person who picked up a piece of lumber, ran a sander, drilled a hole, assembled a bed, or helped behind the scenes: this is what community looks like.

Today we built 50 beds. Soon, we’ll deliver 50 better nights, 50 safer places to sleep, and 50 reminders to local kids that their community cares about them. ❤️🛏️❤️

Thank you, Monroe County!
