The Unionville Lions Club has been an active and socially conscious part of the Unionville Community since 1970. Keyword search: Piedmont Leo Club on Facebook.

The club also proudly sponsors the Piedmont Leo Club. Since the club's charter in December, 1970, the Unionville Lions Club has provided numerous services to our community and area schools. Annually, the club provides Christmas gifts for some students at Fairview, New Salem, and Unionville Elementary schools; sponsors a Peace Poster Contest at Piedmont Middle School; sponsors the Piedmont Leo Club, the Donald E Price Scholarship Award and contributes to the Boosters Club at the Piedmont High School. The club also annually sponsors a Community Health Screening, a Veterans Appreciation Night, roadside cleanup, and the 21st Century Vision Van. The club makes available eye exams and glasses and lends medical equipment to community residents. To help support these community service projects, the club annually sponsors three major fund raisers: Thanksgiving Turkey Shoot, Fourth of July Celebration, and Concert in the Park series.
