🐾 Big Hearts & Happy Tails! Huge Thanks to Lumen & Carroll High School! 🐶✨

​Today was an absolute powerhouse of community kindness at the shelter! A massive shoutout and heartfelt thank you to the wonderful team from Lumen and the incredible students from Carroll High School for spending their day volunteering with us. Between getting dozens of tail-wagging pups out for much-needed walks and rolling up their sleeves to tackle several big projects around the facility, their hard work made an immediate difference. The shelter is running smoother, and our dogs are officially tuckered out and happy!

​We are endlessly grateful for community partners and young leaders who show up with so much energy, compassion, and dedication to our rescue animals. The Quiet Strength of Restoration 🌿☀️

Restoration is rarely a loud or sudden event; it is a slow, quiet, and deeply spiritual process of rebuilding what was once broken. It is not about simply snapping back to how things used to be, but rather finding new strength in our fractured places and allowing time, patience, and grace to mend the spirit. Nature shows us this constantly—after the harshest storms, the earth slowly repairs itself, often blooming brighter and more resilient than before. True restoration asks us to be gentle with ourselves, to embrace the scars that tell our stories, and to trust the invisible, everyday work of healing that happens just beneath the surface.

We are blessed to witness this profound transformation every single day at the shelter. The animals that come through our doors often arrive carrying the heavy, invisible burdens of their pasts, yet they demonstrate an absolute masterclass in restoration. When they finally realize they are in a safe place, you can almost physically watch the walls come down. A once-fearful soul cautiously seeks out a gentle hand, a heavy head finally rests, and a battered spirit slowly remembers how to trust again. Their quiet journeys remind us that no matter what storms we have weathered, the capacity to heal, to love, and to begin anew is always alive within us.

It’s official! We are absolutely thrilled to announce that Timber has officially been adopted by his foster family! 🏡🐾 He was already living his absolute best life in their home, but today they signed the papers and made it forever. We couldn't be more excited that his foster journey turned into a lifetime of love. ✨

A massive thank you to his amazing family for opening their home to foster this sweet boy, and then choosing to make him a permanent part of the pack. We just know Timber is going to continue having an incredible life filled with endless love, cozy naps, and all the adventures he can handle. 🐕💙

We are absolutely blown away by the massive wave of generosity from our incredible friends at Sallie Humble Elementary! They put their hearts into collecting an absolute mountain of essential supplies and donations for our shelter, and we are just speechless. To make this amazing gift even better, the fantastic students from the Neville High Key Club stepped right up to do the heavy lifting, delivering this giant haul directly to our doors today! 🚚💨

This level of support is everything to us! Every single box, roll of paper towels, and bag of food directly impacts the lives of the dogs in our care. These donations ensure our pups stay well-fed, comfortable, and happy while they patiently wait for their forever families. We are having an absolute blast today, and we owe a massive thank you to our amazing friends at Petsense for inviting the Humane Society Adoption Center of Monroe to be part of their big adoptathon event! Setting up shop here has been incredible, and seeing our rescue dogs soak up all the love and attention from the crowds is exactly why we do this. The Petsense team always goes above and beyond to support local rescues, and we are so grateful for their hospitality and the chance to feature our shelter pups at their event today.

Not a chance! 🐾 These two caught a serious case of FOMO and absolutely demanded their own shopping spree. Watch Kim navigate the Petsense aisles with this adorable duo as they investigate every single shelf. Jett is convinced he needs to take home the entire store, while Maeve is just happy to strut her stuff and soak up all the attention from the other shoppers! 🛒🐶
