ARTIST CALL: ORBS’ Road to Memphis Blues Challenge registration is now open!! Our regional winners will advance to compete at the International Blues Challenge (IBC) in Memphis. Winners will receive a travel stipend and guidance from ORBS.🏆

Our fourth annual Blues competition will be held on Sun, Sept 27 at Flying Tiger Brewery, 506 N. 2nd St., Monroe, LA. The first five Bands and the first five Solo/Duo acts to register according to the rules will compete before a live audience. Acts must live within 250 miles of Monroe, LA.

Winners will advance to compete on an international level at the IBC to represent the Ouachita River Blues Society (ORBS). This is a tremendous opportunity to network with industry leaders and grow your music to new heights by competing with top musicians from around the world.

Still time to sign up for auditions!

🎭 Announcing auditions for Richard O'Brien's “The Rocky Horror Show,” directed and choreographed by Greg Baccarini.

Returning to Monroe for its third year, this cult-classic favorite is seeking bold, dynamic performers to bring the iconic musical to life. Performances will take place October 22–24. Please note that auditions are only being held for the roles of the Criminologist, Columbia, and Ensemble, as some cast members from previous productions will be returning.

📅 Auditions: August 17 & 18, 6:00–8:00 PM (Location TBA)

Audition Requirements:
• Prepare a brief song in the style of the show.

• No accompanist will be provided; please bring a backing track. A Bluetooth speaker will be available.

• You may also be asked to read from the script and/or learn a short movement combination.

To request an audition slot, please email [email protected] with your preferred date.

Audition location details will be sent to registered auditionees in a follow-up communication.
