At our April meeting, we inducted our new members! 🥰 We are so happy that our club is growing!!!

April is our business meeting, so we made some important decisions and elected our officers for 2026-2028 season. 💘

Monongahela Woman's Club Presents: Woman's History Month Woman of the Week🩷✨

Heidi Hoffman

Heidi, the youngest of seven children, is originally from Charleroi. She is married to Roy Hoffman and together they have three children, Haley, Collin, and Ben.

She moved to Monongahela twenty years ago and opened her Christmas-themed ice cream and candy shop in 2019. Sweets by Mrs. C makes hand-dipped chocolate, soup, and paninis in addition to their variety of sweets.

Heidi is an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where she teaches Adult Sunday School. She also serves on the Monongahela Area Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors and as Vice President of the Monongahela Area Library Board. She loves the ambiance of Monongahela and all the wonderful friends she has made over the years. In her little spare time, she enjoys reading and doing genealogy.

Monongahela Woman's Club Presents: Woman's History Month Woman of the Week🩷✨

Amanda is the director at the Monongahela Area Library. March 2026 marks her fourth year as director and she admits freely she is still learning how to manage all the ups and downs of library life. In her tenure, the library has increased in library card users, programs, and services; seen finished renovations to facility improvements, and reached outside the library walls into the community. She believes in the library's mission to educate, enrich, and enhance the community.

She is a newly appointed board member of the Monongahela Area Chamber of Commerce, a member of the Women in Business of Monongahela and New Eagle, and a graduate of the Washington County Community Foundation Community PILLARS Charity Governance Program.

She graduated with honors from California University of Pennsylvania in 2003 with a degree in English and Journalism. She was a newspaper staff writer and a social media manager at an Internet company before her work in libraries. She is working toward her Masters in Library and Information Science through PennWest University - Clarion.

An avid reader, Amanda lives in Monongahela with her husband, Jennan, and their poodle, Frida, who is the absolute goodest girl.
