M-I Passport Summer Series Has Officially Begun! ☀️

Your summer adventure starts now!

Pick up your M-I Passport and spend the summer exploring local businesses, attractions, events, and hidden gems throughout the Monmouth-Independence area and beyond.

From coffee shops and boutiques to museums, parks, and community events, there are 32 stops waiting for you!

📍 Passports are available for pickup beginning today at participating pickup locations throughout Monmouth and Independence.

How it works:
✅ Pick up a passport
✅ Complete as many stops as you can between June 19 and August 28
✅ Most stops are honor-system and can be marked off as you complete them
✅ If you’re completing one of our 9 Bonus Stops, be sure to collect a stamp, signature, business card, or receipt as proof of participation

⚠️ If your proof is a business card or receipt, please turn it in with your passport when you submit it.

📝 Don’t forget to fill out the information section on the back of your passport before turning it in so we can contact you if you’re a winner!

📸 Most importantly—have fun! Take lots of photos, share your adventures, and tag Monmouth-Independence Chamber so we can follow along and celebrate all the amazing places you’re discovering this summer.

This program is all about exploring local, supporting local, and BEING local.

✨ M-I Night Shift was a hit! ✨

A huge thank you to Golden Hop Bar & Grill in Independence for hosting this month’s M-I Night Shift. We had a great evening connecting with community members, Chamber members, and friends.

We enjoyed hearing from new owner Roberto, meeting some of his family, and learning about both the exciting changes happening at Golden Hop and the traditions they’re keeping because they’re working so well.

A few fun things to know:
🍻 Trivia every Wednesday at 5:30 PM — a family-friendly option before heading to other trivia nights around town.
🍔 Open daily at 11:30 AM for lunch.
🥞 Brunch is back on Saturdays and Sundays.
🎆 Keep an eye out for fun activities planned in the beer garden over the Fourth of July weekend!

If you haven’t stopped by Golden Hop lately, now is a great time to check them out. We’re grateful to have them as part of our Chamber family and our community.
