- Help Us Give Norm a Pain-Free Future -

4 All MuttKind Animal Rescue is a 100% volunteer-run, foster-based rescue in Oregon. We have no paid staff and no facility - just a dedicated community of people working together to save dogs in need.

Norm came into our care last September from a heartbreaking hoarding case involving 175 dogs. Our team saves 21 dogs from this case, arriving in various states of health. Many of them needed dentals, all needed to be fixed and vaccinated, and other various health issues.

When Norm arrived, he was severely matted, underweight, neglected, and terrified of the world around him. For an entire week, Norm cried and howled. He didn’t know how to eat from a bowl. He didn’t know toys could be fun. He didn’t know people could be kind.

But thanks to Zoomie World Dog Daycare who was this case’s landing pad, Nature's Pet Market Salem for getting norm and others a much needed groom, and the incredible patience and love of his foster family, Norm has blossomed. He’s come such a long way, learning to trust, to feel safe, and to enjoy the life every dog deserves.

Unfortunately, Norm’s journey isn’t over yet.

After evaluation by both our veterinarian and an orthopedic specialist, Norm has been diagnosed with bilateral knee issues that require surgery. This surgery is his final hurdle before he can find the forever home he deserves and live a life free from pain.

💔 Surgery Cost: $6,600

The dogs we help come from overcrowded shelters, euthanasia lists, owner surrenders, abandonment cases, and hoarding cases like Norm. Hoarding cases can be our toughest, with long stays, medical issues, and time for them to trust.

- Adopt Peaches -

Peaches was dumped in Polk County with her baby Cream and is now looking for the stable, loving home she deserves.

Peaches is about a 1.5 years old small breed mix. She is a very people oriented dog who loves being close to her person. Peaches enjoys attention especially head scratches and belly rubs and will happily stick right by your side. She also does well with other dogs and enjoys running and playing outside with them.

Peaches is crate trained for both day and night and settles into her crate well. She is very excited when coming out and will jump up to greet you, but she is learning that she only gets attention when all four paws are on the ground. She’s food motivated, a quick learner, and already knows how to sit for a treat.

She loves being outside, playing with other dogs, and staying active. She may alert bark when she hears neighbors, but it is not excessive. She plays very rough with her puppy, Cream, but has not shown any aggressive behavior.

Peaches is a sweet, loyal girl who is eager to bond with her people and be part of a family

- Adopt Cream! -

Cream is looking for her forever home! She and her mom Peaches were found dumped in Polk County and brought to safety. She’s now ready to find a home of her own.

Cream is about 10 to 11 weeks old and all puppy. She’s sweet, playful, and full of energy. She loves toys, loves to chew, and will happily play until she’s ready to crash for a nap. She does well with other dogs and enjoys people.

She’s crate trained and has not had any accidents in her crate. She’s picking up potty training quickly and usually goes right away when let outside.

Cream is very food motivated and definitely lets you know when she’s hungry. She’s still growing and has a big appetite to match.

She’d do great in a home ready for a fun, busy puppy who will keep you laughing and on your toes.

- Honeydew’s Story: It Takes a Village -

At just 4 months old, Honeydew’s future looked heartbreakingly short.

She arrived at our rescue in 2024 with a severely broken leg after being placed on a euthanasia list. She was just a puppy - scared, hurting, and out of time. We knew we couldn’t let her story end there.

The moment she arrived, she was rushed to Tanasbourne Emergency Vet for surgery. Thanks to this incredible community, every dollar needed for that first surgery was raised. Honeydew finally had a chance.

But healing wasn’t that simple.

As she recovered, it became clear she would need a second major surgery - an FHO procedure costing thousands of dollars. Once again, help arrived. A very generous donation from Angela Roach fully covered the cost of her first surgery just in time for Christmas, giving Honeydew the gift she needed most: hope.

Then came months of physical therapy at SOAR. Week after week, her devoted foster drove her to appointments, celebrated every tiny victory, and never gave up on her. Slowly, Honeydew learned how to use her leg again. She grew stronger. More confident. More joyful. And in less pain.

Once she graduated physical therapy she spent time at Zoomie World Dog Daycare. She learned some basic life skills and blossomed into an incredible young dog.

And then, after nearly a year of healing, growing, and waiting, the perfect family found her.

After multiple trial visits to make sure it was the right fit, Honeydew finally got what every rescue dog deserves: a forever home. A family completely in love with her. A future filled with adventure, comfort, and unconditional love.

Honeydew’s happy ending didn’t happen because of one person.

It happened because of a village.

Because of donors.
Because of fosters.
Because of veterinarians.
Because of trainers.
Because of physical therapists.
Because of photographers
Because people chose to care.

Medical dogs and long-term rescue cases are expensive, time-consuming, and often heartbreaking. But Honeydew is proof that they are worth every single effort.
