Shawnee was out doing spot checks today for our No-Till farmers who are enrolled in the IDOA CPRG program this year!
She was happy with what she saw and knocked out several other field visits on this warm June day!

Shawnee and Carley were joined by neighboring Knox SWCD AC, Katie, and our board director, Ron for Ag Hour during the annual 1/2 way to freezing for food drive at Save A Lot- hosted by WRAM!
Shawnee spoke briefly on the radio about what they’re up to in the district and you can catch more from her during her appearances on the Ag Show soon!

Thanks for always having us, we enjoy it year after year!

Shawnee got out and did some scouting through our district property today! It was a beautiful morning for a nature walk!

This week we had a potluck to celebrate Dawn before she officially leaves our district!
As many know, Dawn also works at Big River Resources at the scale and has decided to dedicate herself more fully there! While we are sad we won’t have her causing a ruckus in the office anymore- we are proud of her and excited for her future at BRR. We are grateful for everything she has contributed to Warren County SWCD and know this is not goodbye- as she will continue to support our district as a community member and friend!

She is certainly going to leave behind big shoes to fill and we are confident that our new AC will be amazing in the role.
Dawn has agreed to still pop in to do a handful of training days for her replacement- so you may still catch her in the office from time to time until her official end date!

Thank you Dawn for the years of dedication, the countless memories, and the hard work you put in to every event, sale, and customer!

Shawnee got out in the field today with NRCS Area Engineer, Austin!
Despite the occasional sprinkles throughout the day, they did a stream bank investigation and surveyed for a basin series that will be funded through our partners for conservation program!

We are very grateful for our Area 2 engineering team!
