It is with broken hearts and deep sadness that we share devastating news that John Glasgow passed away on Wednesday, October 7, 2026 as a result of a tragic accident.

John "grew up" at the YMCA from a young kid into a distinguished young man who became one of our adored fitness instructors. His impact was felt by many and his infectious kindness was sought after by all who knew him.

John had many passions in his life including fitness, rural and small schools, friends, cooking, and more. However, his passion for his family was second to none and if you were lucky enough to be his friend, well, you had a loyal and true friend. Most importantly, John was a terrific human being. His faith in Jesus was evident by the life he lived and he was never shy to talk about the Lord. John will be deeply missed by many.

Staci Bass, his mother, has been a full time YMCA Team Leader for seven years teaching and coordinating fitness and healthy lifestyles. She has been a part of our YMCA for more than 20 years. She is one of our very own and her grief is felt and shared by all of us at the YMCA. We love Staci and we rally around her and her family and lift them up as they try to unravel the confusing emotions they are feeling at this time.

We ask that you lift up the family in prayer and send them well wishes. We also ask that people be respectful of their privacy as they process this unthinkable loss.

Dribble, Shoot, Score!!

Youth Basketball is back this Winter at the Warren County YMCA!

Our Rookies Basketball Programs lead off starting November 14th. We offer Rookies Basketball to PreK (Learn How To Play), and Kindergarten-1st Grade (Clinics/Beginner Level Games).

Starting December 5th, our 2nd-3rd Grade Co-Ed Basketball League begins with a skills clinic leading into a season of team practices and Saturday games.

All 3 programs filter through the holiday season, and into 2027.

A HUGE shout out and thank you goes out to both the Monmouth College Fighting Scots Football Team and the Fighting Scots Mens Soccer Team! Both spent time here at the Warren County YMCA over the past few weeks attending our Youth Flag Football and Youth Soccer Pre Season clinics. Players worked with our kids instructing and teaching them football/soccer fundamentals, skills and team play. Thank you Coach Chad Braun and Coach Ian Hatleli for spending time with us again this year!

With that said, both our Flag Football and Fall Soccer Seasons are beginning. Late Registrations for both sports are STILL available now through September 10th. If your child is interested in playing a sport this fall, we would love to have them! Register today!
We are particularly looking for more 4th-6th graders for BOTH Flag Football and Soccer.
