New Tomorrows - Lake Christian Ministries A division of Lake Christian Ministries, the New Tomorrows program seeks to empower those in poverty.

NT staff works one on one with indviduals who are ready to make a change. Serving Pittsylvania County, Bedford County, & Franklin County. The New Tomorrows Program is a relationship-centered approach to supporting those individuals who want to forge a path toward a more secure future. Staff and New Tomorrows volunteers — called partners — work one-on-one with neighbors to address financial securit

y, explore employment and education, and set self-identified goals. In the New Tomorrows program, volunteers and staff members work with neighbors to identify and remove barriers to stability, examining needs and resources in areas such as housing, income, career training, employment, and healthcare. Individuals interested in New Tomorrows may ask at the LCM front desk or call LCM. Many are referred to New Tomorrows by churches, nonprofits, governmental departments, and healthcare providers.

Lake Christian Ministries has homecoming dresses available for our neighbors with teens! Come during operational hours Monday, Wednesday, and Friday's from 9AM to 12PM and September 29 from 5-6:30 PM. We will have dresses available beginning September 4 through October 2, 2026.

💙 We’re more than halfway to our $55,000 Challenge Match!

As of Aug. 28, $31,935 has been donated to the SML Walk to End Poverty. That’s an incredible $14,300 increase in just one week!

We’ve now reached 58% of our $55,000 Challenge Match goal, with $23,065 to go. Every donation will be matched dollar for dollar up to $55,000, doubling the impact of each gift.

And the Walk itself is growing, too:

🚶 114 walkers and runners registered
👥 13 teams signed up
💙 $31,935 donated

Our ultimate goal is to raise $150,000+ to help our neighbors in need, and there’s still time to be part of it.
