New Tomorrows - Lake Christian Ministries A division of Lake Christian Ministries, the New Tomorrows program seeks to empower those in poverty.

NT staff works one on one with indviduals who are ready to make a change. Serving Pittsylvania County, Bedford County, & Franklin County. The New Tomorrows Program is a relationship-centered approach to supporting those individuals who want to forge a path toward a more secure future. Staff and New Tomorrows volunteers — called partners — work one-on-one with neighbors to address financial securit

y, explore employment and education, and set self-identified goals. In the New Tomorrows program, volunteers and staff members work with neighbors to identify and remove barriers to stability, examining needs and resources in areas such as housing, income, career training, employment, and healthcare. Individuals interested in New Tomorrows may ask at the LCM front desk or call LCM. Many are referred to New Tomorrows by churches, nonprofits, governmental departments, and healthcare providers.

Bridges Out of Poverty is a comprehensive framework by aha! Process that provides tools, workshops, and community strategies to reduce poverty by improving understanding across economic classes and strengthening individual, organizational, and community resources.
