WELCOME SUMMER!!

We are looking for someone who would be interested in leading a water aerobics class for adults in the morning time between 6:15am and 7:15am at the Durand Community Pool. The biggest qualifications are desire and enthusiasm, and then some knowledge of different exercises. Compensation would be through donations/tips from the group which have been quite generous in the past. It would be for one or two days a week through the summer. We also hope to start a group in the evening after 5pm but those details have to still be worked out. If you are interested in either position, please private message us with a contact number. Thank you!

This looks like a lot of fun!

This looks like a lot of fun!

Parents or guardians must be in the water and actively participate with their child during each class. Baby/Toddler & Me swimming lessons provide a great opportunity for bonding, as you help your child feel safe and supported in a new environment. It’s also a fun way to spend time together—splas...

This is great news! The City of Durand has come up with a new fee schedule for the pool which should help ease the cost for families and still help with the cost of maintaining the pool and paying staff. While a daily pass remains at $5, buying more punch cards can reduce the entrance fee down to $1.22 per day. Please refer to the schedule for the different categories. With the new fees you are also permitted to purchase and share the costs and punch cards with extended family and even friends. The pool will likely be open 11 weeks or approximately 75 days so based on that you can decide how often you will use the pool, how many punch cards you will want and then determine what category you will want to purchase. If you run out, you can purchase more however if you have punches remaining they will not carry over to the next year. This new system should make it more affordable especially for larger families. Also note that while the fees will help to offset the costs of running the pool, the City will be operating in the red so any financial support you can give is greatly appreciated. Also anyone needing help with the costs, please contact the City or message SOS. Thank you City of Durand!!

We are SO excited to announce a new pricing structure for POOL PUNCH PASS BUNDLES which are now available for purchase at City Hall!

$162 - 108 punches ($1.50/visit)
$96 - 48 punches ($2.00/visit)
$60- 24 punches ($2.50/visit)
$48- 12 punches ($4.00/visit)

The City of Durand will be discussing fees for the pool this summer at the next City Council Meeting on Tuesday, April 21st, at 5:30pm. Right now they are considering setting fees at $5 per day and using the punch cards only, where buying a card of 12 punches would cost $48 (saving $12 and making it $4/day); or buying 4 cards of 48 punches costing $168 (saving $72 and making it $3.50/day). There would not be seasonal passes as in the past. The thinking being to help support the cost of running the pool and the convenience of the punch cards. If you would like input on this, we would encourage you to attend the council meeting and/or contact your council person. We are thankful that our community came together to have this pool and we will continue to come together in making sure everyone is able to use this pool. Anyone wanting to donate to offset costs or support activities there, please message the Durand Swim Club. Happy Swimming everyone!
