For this Friday's Hero Watch we are featuring Tim Brantner who recently retired from the Eau Claire Fire Department - Eau Claire Fire Rescue after 25 years of dedicated service.

Being a firefighter isn’t just a job, it becomes part of who you are, and that will stay with you always. In the fire service our goal is to always leave it better than we found it. What you’ve done matters! The lives you’ve touched, the people you’ve helped, the times you have shown up when others needed you most, that is something to be incredibly proud of.

For this Friday's Hero Watch, we have received a nomination for Greg Bauer, the Fire Chief of the Mondovi Fire Department. Greg has dedication nearly 26 years to the fire service. He is an outstanding mentor and Chief and always welcomes new ideas from the younger firefighters.

This August he will celebrate 27 years of marriage to his wife Jenny. Together they have two daughters, Ella who works for Mayo in the ICU and Hilaire who just finished her second year at UMN, she also works in a surgical research lab. Their family pets include 3 dogs and 2 cats.

Greg's hobbies include hunting, fishing, land management, snowmobiling, UTVing, and traveling with his family and friends.

We are excited for this!

Pepin County Human Services and the Pepin County Sheriff’s Office are excited to announce that we have received grant funding to bring Crisis Intervention Partners (CIP) training to Pepin County!

Following our successful collaboration with Buffalo County to bring CIT training to our area in 2025, we are excited to continue fostering partnerships, enhancing education, and empowering community response efforts for mental health in Pepin County.

Stay tuned for more information about CIP and discover how you can play a vital role in supporting those affected by a mental health crisis.

We are excited to be in the planning stages of bringing CIP to our community this August, igniting new possibilities and opportunities for everyone.

For this Friday's Hero Watch we are featuring Jesse James. Jesse has built an impressive resume over the years. Most recently, he was named the Police Chief for the village of Lake Hallie where he will continue his service to others. He has always been an advocate for protective services, emergency services, and mental health.
