Since launching our Donkey Slayer Youth Outdoors Program in May, we’ve been incredibly fortunate to support three kids fishing contests in our local communities!
Today, we were excited to donate 10 Fishing Gear Kits to the Osseo Kids Fishing Contest! 🎣🐟
A huge CONGRATULATIONS to all of the winners! 🏆 We hope you have an amazing time enjoying your new fishing gear and making memories outdoors!
We are so grateful for everyone who continues to support the Donkey Slayer Youth Outdoors Program. ❤️

We weren’t able to get pictures of all the fishing gear kit winners at the Fairchild Kids Fishing Contest but here are a few of them! We donated 10 gear kits for the Sportsmen’s Club to hand out on Saturday.

Today was our first time handing out Kids Fishing Gear Kits through the Donkey Slayer Youth Outdoors Program!
We have been incredibly excited to launch this new program, and we know Dylan would be smiling from ear to ear. Our mission is simple: to help youth experience and enjoy the outdoors by providing quality fishing gear and outdoor opportunities.
Each Fishing Gear Kit includes:
• Rod and reel combo
• Fishing backpack filled with tackle and accessories
• Donkey Slayer hat
• Water bottle
• Legacy card sharing Dylan's story and the mission behind the program
Valued at over $200!
Today, we were proud to donate 10 kits to the Mondovi Kids Fishing Contest and another 10 kits to the Fairchild Kids Fishing Contest.
This is just the beginning. Our goal is to continue growing the program and provide even more gear kits to kids each year, helping create lifelong memories on the water and a love for the outdoors.

Throughout the year, the DonkeySlayer Fundraiser is blessed to give back to local organizations and families in need. This Christmas was especially meaningful. We were able to donate many gifts to children and families through the Christmas Tree Giving Program in Mondovi & Buffalo County, and sharing that experience with my girls—shopping for the presents and wrapping them together—was something I will cherish forever.
We also worked closely with the Mondovi Schools to identify one family that we could surprise with a larger donation, inspired by the incredible kindness shown to us years ago through Best Christmas Ever. We focused on gifts meant to bring comfort and togetherness—blankets, family games, treats—along with gift cards to local businesses in Mondovi and Eau Claire and a monetary check. Our hope was to ease even a small part of the stress and financial burden that so often comes with the holidays and with life in general.
I am beyond proud of our company (we are finally official!!) and of the board members who stand beside me—who answer my nonstop texts, help guide decisions, and listen to all of my ideas, no matter how scattered they may be. Everything I do is to honor Dylan, to make him proud, and to keep his name and memory alive. From the bottom of my heart, thank you to everyone who makes this possible. None of this happens without you.
