We want to brag on our beautiful Festival Queen, Addy!!

Today at the baby contest a slight medical emergency happened to an individual, and our Addy handled it like a champ!

Our chairperson reached out with the following:

“Listen! Addy was a ROCKSTAR today with my sister in law. She literally never left her side until she knew all was clear. That girl deserves some type of acknowledgment because she handled that better than any adult! And I’m not joking. She was amazing!!!”

So proud to call her our 2025 Festival Queen! 🧡

Hello ladies. Applications for the Persimmon Festival Queen contest will be accepted through August 29, 2025. They can be found at the Tourism/Chamber office on Main Street and at Mitchell High School.

Hello Friends! We had a good information meeting tonight at 6. It was great to see everyone tonight! Things we learned:

1. Practice is scheduled for September 9 and 11 at 6 p.m. Bring the shoes you plan to wear with your formal.
2. Contestants will receive a copy of the random questions at the first practice.
3. Pageant chairperson will create a set of questions for the judges that differ from the random questions.
4. This pageant is about more than being pretty! It's about being able to present yourself with confidence. It's an opportunity to teach yourself how to make those 'butterflies fly in order'! An opportunity to represent your community, your school, and your family!
5. Invite your friends to participate! Right now, we have 9 contestants!
