Park and Rec will be accepting storage of docks and lifts for the duration of the Lake Mitchell Dredge project, beginning October 1 and until lake project has been completed and the lake water level has returned to within one foot of the top of the spillway. If lake water were to return to that level after November 1, the storage timeline shall be extended until the following May 15.
Docks and lifts will NOT be stored along the shoreline at the Sportsman's Club (due to lawn maintenance that will be required in summer months) but will rather begin with the Sportsman's Club boat landing asphalt parking lot. If docks and lifts can be contained to the dimensions of one long parking space, there will be only one charge for dock and lift, etc. That fee will be $500, as approved by the Park Board in August 2025. Other conditions do apply.
Note: This service is not meant to be a competition with any business that might already be providing for such storage, but rather it is an option for dock and lift owners who not not wish to have their dock/boat lift sitting lakeside at their homes for 2 or more years. All collected fees will go into the Lake Fund.
