This grill was stolen April 4th, 2023. Today- she arrived back home after a pretty rough journey. Thanks to the media that did a story about it 3+ years ago- it stuck in someone’s memory and they reached out to us. To say we were shocked to get a call yesterday morning about it was an understatement! She’s gotta go back down to Holstein grill in Iowa for some body work. But we can’t wait to get her back up and running!

I’m looking for any German expats that are from the Saarland region, or may have family and connections there. For a long time, our kitchen has been innovative and actively seeking way to follow a “many tastes” strategy in our cooking. Saarland as an anchor in one of the most fascinating live fire traditions I have ever seen: Schwenker. I need to find people who understand it. Anyone know anyone? I’d love an intro and I’ll buy/make lunch. Photo not mine.

🍳 Chef or Prep Cook
We’re looking for someone who enjoys working in a busy kitchen, takes pride in preparing quality food, and wants to use their skills to help serve individuals experiencing homelessness.

🧽 Kitchen Porter
We’re also looking for a dependable, hardworking person to help keep our kitchen running smoothly. This position is an important part of our team and helps make everything we do possible.

Every day, our kitchen prepares meals for people in our community who need them most. These positions are an opportunity to earn a paycheck while doing meaningful work and being part of something bigger.

We’re looking for people who are:
• Reliable and hardworking
• Team players with a positive attitude
• Comfortable in a fast-paced kitchen environment
• Compassionate and supportive of our mission

Experience is a plus, but the right attitude, dependability, and willingness to work are just as important to us.

Good morning all! We’ve been quiet on social media lately, and we wanted to let everyone know why.

Yes, we are aware of the closure of the Pig’s Eye encampment, and yes, we’ve been there every day serving those affected. Right now, our focus is exactly where it should be—on the people navigating an incredibly difficult and uncertain time.

We’ve made the intentional decision not to put the spotlight on our organization during this situation. This isn’t about recognition, photos, or publicity. It’s about showing up consistently, treating people with dignity, and meeting immediate needs.

To everyone who has reached out, donated, volunteered, or wondered how things are going, thank you. Your support allows us to continue this work quietly and compassionately.

We’ll share updates when the time is right. Until then, please know that we’re still here, we’re still serving, and we’re committed to standing alongside our community—one person, one day, and one act of kindness at a time.

Happy Monday!! We are in desperate need of snack bags/ toiletry items for our guests that come to our door through out the day. This is a great opportunity for a youth group, church group, civic group to give back to the community. Please reach out if you can help!
